Fomo'd into ICX a little too early it looks likes. Sold some OMG for ICX. Initially ICX went up 6% for me, went to bed and woke up to bags LOL.

WTF is up with XLM, why did that shoot up?

Back to the mooning stock market i suppose.

not really sure what you're talking about tbh, i'm seeing a pretty clean bounce right off the trendline

The chart looks fine against USD, but for as long as BTC is the store of value then what he is saying has weight. Lots of it.. problem is - if the flippening does happen, and I guess it's possible though stupid because ETH isn't meant to be a store of value.. then I guess it won't matter and the ETH/USD chart will be the one we care about.

Even then, it could just as easily flip back - and HMFIC is suggesting when it does - you will see some tankage.

edit: Wait he did say 1170. I assume he's looking at BTC chart which is where my main concern is.

I still blame the btc forks

Btc should have had normal growth from 2k. I remember btc chilling at 3k for a bit but that was definitely after bitcoin cash.

Bitcoin gold i got into btc at 4.5k

So those are prefork levels

So we are acting like a currency that has lost half it's value in two months is a better measuring stick than FIAT for ETH right now?

How much will a guy lose selling all the BTC pair and rebuying the ETH pair? BTC way down and ETH way up. Not a good situation to be in if this flippening thing does happen.

i would wager that more people are buying ETH with USD than BTC, therefore the ETH/USD chart is entirely relevant

It's easy to track if you just do it as you're making the trades. Me, I've only made a few trades in 2018 and I'm not worried about it.

Does it still have the highest market cap?

Then yes. Not sure when you because a market expert but I think you may want to relax a little and research things. I really like you as a poster but you've gone a little off the deep end lately.

I'm not doubting any outcome, I'm simply stating what is trueright now. If you by chance think I'm FUD'ing one of my favorite currencies then I promise you are mistaken - but ETH is a platform app, not designed as a store of value nor is its scalability even ideal to do so (though slightly better than OG chit coin BTC).

If it flips, it can just as easily flip back. If it holds, then you have a currency not designed to mainly do so stuck with the same issues. It's good it is taking some of the weight off BTC I'll say that. But just because you see little moonage on ETH against BTC doesn't necessarily mean that's it, we're locked in, and boom you should be DCA'ing ETH against USD when SATs are still what is important until future notice.

Just trying to keep the thread objective.. but emotions are clearly too high. I don't need and will not continue to argue this (it shouldn't be an argument to begin with), I really hope for y'alls sake it does well. I'll be fine regardless, I've got my strategies worked out.

If what I'm saying ends up applying, then yes, you will see ETH follow BTC in USD ratio value, probably slower then before it lags behind like it usually does. So then you'd be "DCA'ing" ETH just like you could DCA any other coin that bleeds when BTC does.
There is no thing without nothing.

You can say this to every other major coin right now but I think its actually less applicable to ETH since they seem to be the only one trying to hold onto dear life.

But really curious to know what you meant. You can't just say something like "no fud" without telling us why you think that way lol. Spit it put brah.

Two posts up.

I promise you I'll be getting into ETH first chance I get. And if it takes off without me - so be it. It won't be a big loss to me I'm just not going to play against what I feel are the odds.

and I won't be "i told you so" if I'm 'correct'. I'll be happy for ETH brahs.

The USD chart does not look good imo. A few failed bullish breakouts this past month followed by a support trendline break on high volume.

No thanks jeff seid.

Edit: stop using sats as your gauge guys. Btc is tanking, of course you can beat sats. I feel like sats is the 2018 crypto cope

LoL, my lord, I guess you trying all day to figure out how Tether works wasn't a troll. I like how using FIAT, a more currently much more stable currency to measure the 2nd largest cap crypto with large FIAT ramps and trading pairs means I have gone off the deep end.

You clearly still know nothing of how this market currently works.

This is exactly like assuming VEN was the new store of value bc its USD value increased while BTC tanked. Look where it is now. Still measured in SATs. Yes obviously ETH vs VEN is different because trading pairs and notoriety sure but one small ETH take off while BTC drops doesn't mean boom that's it, we're measuring all ETH in USD now. It needs to become thestore of value first.Possible? Yes. Happened? no.

and you know what the difference between you and I clearly is? When I didn't know how tether worked, I humbly inquired. That's how you learn. It doesn't make me feel dumb that you are literally making fun of the fact that I know when to ask questions to increase my own knowledge base.

I hope when all this is said and done we'll still be brahs, but I think we should just ignore each other for a bit and let the dust settle.

I don't doubt your methods brother.
