HOLY FUK HOLYY FUK
I had the exact same experience! I tried googling the "cat walking on the bed" sleep paralysis, but nobody shared that with me. Here's my story :
Sleeping in bed, wake up (in my dream) I think I'm awake but I'm actually 2-3 dreams deep in my subconscious. I feel my cat walking on my bed, tugging at the sheets, snuggling against me. I keep falling in and out of this loop until things start getting really strange.
Something starts pulling my blanket off of me, the force is strong. I hold on and the force pulls me onto the floor! I freak out and scurry back on to my bed and start feeling this immense pressure On my body can't move or scream. Lasts for a min maybe, then in FINALLY wake up in the real world. Was shook for a couple hours trying wrap my head around that chit. My cat was down stairs the whole time.

The cat thing is where the word nightmare comes from. In danish it's called mareridt which means that a mare is riding you.
I get SP whenever i sleep on my back, whenever i feel it kicking in i just focus on holding my breath and I wake up.

I've had this happen 10-15 times in my life. You have to realise this is a product of your mind, to believe it's actually ghosts/demons is crazy. Why be scared of something created by your own imagination?

Have never seen figures or anything but have had the sensation of being awake and unable to move/talk/hard to breathe. Has happened several times throughout my life and always causes serious panic.

had sleep paralysis a few times.
worst one was when i felt something over me, leaning on me.
Kept trying to shout/scream but i couldn't. nothing would come out, then suddenly it did and i could move. Heart felt like i'd just done a 400m sprint. Freaked me the fuk out.
One time on a stag weekend away with some mates, we're kipping in a hostel (shared room, like 8 of us on bunk beds) and one of the guys wakes up screaming "WHAT THE FUK" - he'd had a bought of sleep paralysis and thought there was something at the bottom of the bunk. Woke us all up and creeped us out.

Happened to me once.
It does indeed set the fear of god in you. In my dream, I was face to face with a devil-like creature, he just was sitting next to my bed and looking at me. Woke up from the dream and actually said a prayer and was a bit scared to fall asleep that night in case it happened again. The funny thing is is that I know it was sleep paralysis because I've read about it before, but it still felt incredibly real that I had to say a cope-prayer for protection from the Big G lol.
Never had it after though, but yeah, its a crazy feeling, the adrenaline rush is crazy and exciting.

Feels good means you are going into lucid dream mode. If you have a logical brain and read up on it you would know how to stay calm and go back to sleep. No shadows or people walking on me, just cause your body is paralyzed does not mean your brain has to become retarded and unstable. If you can't move that means your in SP so you just close your eyes and doze off
I just want to share the knowledge I have obtained throughout my life and hopefully change someone's life.

I freak out and scurry back on to my bed and start feeling this immense pressure On my body can't move or scream. Lasts for a min maybe, then in FINALLY wake up in the real world. Was shook for a couple hours trying wrap my head around that chit. My cat was down stairs the whole time.

There's an old movie where everything is played with puppets that looked horrifying to me as a kid, it kinda looked like one of the vultures from that movie

Don't confuse the nightmares with lucid dreaming with sleep paralysis. These are all three distinct experiences although they all involve some level of sleep.

I like to think of it like this:
-you enter sleep paralysis
-you cant move so you panic
-this creates a feedback loop in your brain
-whats the worst that can happen when you cant move? -> something with bad intentions comes at you
-feedback loop makes your brain freak out
-hallucinations occur

It's the oldest archetype of conspiring evil, an old woman as the witch.
That's enrouted in every human culture.
Conspirative evil and mischief are generally depicted as female throughout history.
Physically violent evil is depicted as male.

Why so afraid buddy? You just had a visit from our mutual friend:

Yea I have that chit happen all the time. At this point when it happens I'm like ah fuk here we go again, let's go bish I'll fight it out. Once in a while it loops into another cycle, i.e. I wake up and I'm paralyzed, then I wake up thinking that was a dream, but I'm paralyzed again and have to deal with another cycle, only to wake up again thinking it was a dream, and so on... has happened 10-20 times in a row before.
Another version that's been happening to me is right before being able to fall asleep, like 10 seconds after I fall asleep I'm jolted awake. It feels like an electric shock to the brain and I'm paralyzed half-sleep/half-awake. I can't move and if I try to fall asleep again I get shocked. This has lasted a good 10-15 mins before I can force myself out of paralysis. I think this is directly linked to high stress levels. Like I have so much chit to do that when I try to go to sleep my brain tries to force me awake to continue working on my chit.

you have no control over what is happening until you wake up, what you see during it looks 100% real esp when you feel its being physical with you

concentrate on the so called third eye between the eye brows. you will probably feel pressure, ringing in the ear, body shaking. Increase focus between eye brow. try to get out of body as in sitting up while trying to not move the physical body, as in imagining you are sitting up and walking away from the bed, and have an astral projection/out of body experience.

I've had it happen a couple of times but I never really had any "hallucinations". The scary part for me is that I was barely even able to breathe. Makes me wonder if that happens when I'm actually sleeping also...
