I really do hope its good. A movie isnt doing anything for advancing black culture. That is just a joke to think. This reminds me of the whole review thing with Star Wars which miscers redpilled me on. I hope this isn't the same deal.

That said, I do like Black Panther as a character and Ive liked him in other movies so will be seeing and hope its solid. Getting tired of these agenda movies. Feel like movies have been getting progressively worse and worse. Some SJW cause doesn't negate a movie being chit.

I don't understand. The movie is based in phucking Africa.. why wouldn't it have a majority black cast...

It will be good because it has talented actors backed by a good comic book story. hopefully their talent isn't overshadowed and wasted in order to pass on a political message like the last jedi did.

First reviews for TLJ had it in the high 90s (metacritic and RT). It was also being paraded as the best Star Wars movie to date. The first reviewers are always biased because there's no way in hell Disney is letting negative reviewers see it first. It's bad for their movie.

Is it really a surprise they aren't? A majority of marvel writers have been white guys, why would they write about Africa? THat's the reality, black panther is a cool character so I'm glad he was created, but you cannot expect black super heros if you don't have black writers.

I never believe early reviews but I'm seeing the movie regardless.

Movies are art and you should draw your own conclusions. If I had listened to reviews I would never have seen the masterpiece known as The Room.

I agree, I thought Hollywood only knew how to make black people thugs,slaves or put them in dresses. It's a pipe dream though if you think this movie will not be turned into being black and just the story. Everyone I've heard talking about it black or white is talking about the blackness of the cast not the story. Except live 3 people who like comics. People wont change what they think about races off movies they go off life experiences.

Gotta read the review for their actual content about the movie then, or watch it. There's no other way to tell if it's getting good reviews because it's a good movie or because of agenda

Serious question, how is this "good" for black culture?

Yea I hear ya about the concept of blacks not being portrayed as poor/ghetto, as Wakanda is a tech advanced/wealthy place....but a place like that doesn't actually exist....

Like I could see if there was a small but rich successful country/kingdom in Africa this movie was modeled after but, but theres not, not even close, so again how is this helpful?

The entire marvel universe does not exist my friend not just wakanda lol But mainly because black panther was the first successful black super hero, and now on the big screen. Because of the improvement of america people who are black have opportunity to become good at acting and directing to create this film. Without it just being random black people in it for diversity but rather for the skills of the actors.

My aunt/uncles and grandmother/grandfather lived in times where they were not allowed to learn certain skills or go to certain places cause of there skin color. Now it is much different.
I just want to share the knowledge I have obtained throughout my life and hopefully change someone's life.

Anyone know why the imdb rating is so low? Normally the rating is very high because of the hype and gradually falls.

You realize that a large portion of the highest grossing actors of the past 20-30 years have been black, right?

most of the fair reviews i've watched on youtube have said that the movie is well done, but there are several parts where the CG is so excessive that it looks like a cartoon or a cutscene from a videogame which takes you out of the immersion.

One instance, there's a scene in a club kinda place where Chadwick deflects blows from two dudes in black and he's lazily moving his arms about, they don't even connect with the attacker's limbs yet they stagger back

oh well. Hope there's better scenes with him in Infinity War
