Total Starvation – 382 days without Food
Facts
Throughout the entire period of 382 days, patient A.B. consumed water and had taken vitamin supplements, yeast for the first 10 months, potassium supplements (Day 93 to Day 162), and sodium supplements (Day 345 to Day 355). Urine and blood collections were taken throughout the whole period of fasting. Fecal evacuations were infrequent in the later period of the fasting, as the time between stools was averaging from 37-48 days, as the researchers claim.

These crash diets are awful bro. What are you planning to do after the fast ends? Most people go on a binge and get back to the same weight they were before or gain even more weight. I would suggest fasting for two days, see how you feel, break your fast with bone broth and have a low carb meal like some meat and veggies. See how you feel, how energetic or lethargic you are....check your electrolytes etc etc. Dont go full potato and not eat for a month. Take it slowly and think long term man. These quick weightloss diets are not good for health.

I did a crash diet on 500 cal/day for 8 weeks, and it was grueling. I tell people about it, but I also warn that I don't recommend it.
I would however, highly recommend PSMF and/or IF. Much safer, and tried and proven methods for weight loss.

For anyone reading, there is a hormonal spike in growth hormone and other positive hormones during the fasting - for the most part, it will be protein-sparing, particularly once the OP shifts into ketosis on day 2-3. It's not the Gains-Killer you might think, and in fact, short fasts (2 days or less) might have a positive effect on gains, thanks to the effect it will have on hormones (not just GH but insulin, IGF1 and others).
To the OP, while you could do a 30-day fast, if you've never done one before, don't do this unsupervised. You will likely want to supplement with some minerals and were I you, I'd ease into this. Try a 3-day fast. Wait a month. Try a 5-day fast. Work up to a 10-day fast.
There is no reason to do a 30 day one from the start, unless you're impatient about getting rid of your fat and "being lean", which as I stated to start with is an idiotic reason to fast. Losing weight/getting lean is a Marathon, not a Sprint. Fasting can help you with your hormones and helping reset some bad habits, but being an impatient fool wanting to undo years of eating **** in a month is ****ing moronic.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

What noticeable benefits did you see after the fast? More energy? Clearer skin? Healthier hair? Etc?
Also, do you guys have any links for any websites you recommend checking out on fasting? I've been doing a 24 hour fast once a week and its pretty epic. I seem to be "in the zone" once i get past the initial hunger pains. Its hard to explain, but its pretty insane.

all that aside, lol at this entire idea.

Alot of folks do prolonged fasts, often for religious reasons.
I know a guy who has done several 40 day fasts - I would strongly suggest doing research beforehand though. Alot of the prolonged fasters say that if you have non-nutrient stuff (black coffee, tea, etc.) that's okay.
Also the one thing that I remember from talking to the guy was that he said you HAVE to have some fiber intake or things get really messy.
