Uh, God condones lots of killing. You're not about to do that thing where you preach to me and start quoting bible verses are you? I've been Christian longer than I've been atheist, you won't be telling me anything I haven't heard before.

Exactly. "Our side did wrong, but yours didmorewrong so we win!"

Sounds like an argument a child would make.
Or a historian. Or mathematician. Or rational person looking to make choices on their worldview.

If we both conclude humans gonna human, then the answer to that is what? Not humanism, I would think?

To each his own. We are all given life and choice, and I respect that.

I'm not trying to convert anyone - God is the one who grows faith. I can scatter seeds and water, but spiritual knowledge is not "head only" - it has to take root in the heart.

It's been great conversing, but I got stuff to do now.

Maybe pick up tomorrow?

Either way, have a great day and make some gainz.

You will always be a product of karma and the laws of attraction so when ever you dwell on the seven deadly sins weather you're an Athiest or religious is why you reap what you sow.

Hey, those kids were asking for it. They were born Egyptian after all. They had the same problem Job's family had; wrong place wrong time.

Maybe they should have just elected a better pharaoh or undone the hardening of Pharaoh's heart than God himself hardened. Bet they learned their lesson that day.

Remember the bible even says some of the most evil men in this world are those who are religious, for crying out loud the most religious people killed Jesus for saying he was God, but guess what I too am God.

When people make up their own morals then tend to shift with the current trends or they able to adjust to fit their needs. When morals are derived from an all-knowing, all loving, all power being those morals cannot be shifted according to the whims of man. At best their understanding and the nuances can be increased. Otherwise that person falls out of favor with God.

I don’t follow God out of fear but rather out of respect and because I trust He knows better than the rest of us fallible, mortal beings.

Of course religion shifts with societal changes and time and at the behest of the powerful

Your teachings are interpretations by man defined by social mores of the times ..

That’s how allegories and fairy stories work ...they are contextual

What about that time that the end state of a successful evolution of Christianity is all of existence being nuked because Jesus came back and anyone who doesn’t believe gets the eternal suffering penalty, even if they never had the chance to learn about how his dad (who is also himself) killed him that one time?

WTF are you even talking about "law of attraction"? Just because you read some New Age Christian Thesis doesn't mean the rest of us has.

If you can't explain your position without offering some 50 min video or a novel, WTF are you doing?
