I'm not saying it's all about looks. I've said that a million times before here. However you need to have commonalities to form a connection with someone. My life is about living healthy, being active (Salsa and dancing) and lifting. Why would I want to be with someone who is not into those things? It doesn't take being a Chad for chemistry/connectioon to happen and I don't think that is what Silence is saying she must have. She's saying she has to feel attracted to the guy. She wants someone who is a 7/10 to her. Which is not a 7/10 to all of us. It's entirely subjective, so no one can say she has no chance with what she perceives to be a Chad. This is an invalid argument because we all have minds of our own and preferences of our own.

Ok yes I understand that better. However, how can anyone tell her to settle for something (not even talking about looks) that is not going to make her happy? I know for me, I can't be with someone that doesn't bring that mental click, no matter how attractive they are physically. I can't adjust those standards. I'd be miserable and then what would be the point? Some of us are content being alone rather than being miserable with someone that doesn't add to our lives.

I think it's the opposite actually. Looks can grow on you, but they can also fade just as fast. Looks are very important when it comes to dating

People are brainwashed into into impossibly high standards these days. The point is that some introspection can actually make you happy with someone who doesnโ€™t necessarily meet your current list of requirements. You determine which criteria are actually important, and then are willing to compromise on some other things. And then you can be happy becuase youโ€™ve set realistic expectations.

You arenโ€™t โ€œsettlingโ€ then, youโ€™re just correcting for all the media brainwashing that people have been fed (especially women) in modern society.

Then again, I donโ€™t even know you - you could have a fair set of criteria and compromises.
