Why is it too low? If that's how big you are lean; thats how big you are lean.

I was 107kg (235lbs) and cut down to 191lbs @ 6'3. I didn't lose strength, kept all of my lifts (450lbs squat, 585lb DL, 280lbs bench) and i look like i lift, despite the fact i'm pretty light for my height.

Mind posting vids of your lifts?

Well you look like you eat enough cals but do you get enough Protein?

What is your routine? How many restdays etc.

Being strong is a good foundation to build size so if you really lift those numbers (1 Rep max or for 5-8?) you should grow with the right nutrition, routine and rest.

Honestly, you don't look like you lift. You're right. You need to drastically cut right now. You have a solid base of strength, just you cant see it with your bodyfat. I would cut at least 20 pounds straight away. In 3 months you'll look like a different person.

From the back you do look like you lift, not from the front.

Kind of a weird physique, you might just be phucked by genetics unfortunately.

Think we're toasting in roll bread. OP's total on the 3 lifts is hundreds higher than mine, he's far, FAR leaner, we're close in height, and he looks less like he lifts than I do. I don't see how it's possible, even with absolute chit tier genetics.

Sorry OP, I have to call BS.

Personally I'd eat at maintance and keep lifting heavy for a few months then start cutting in May that way you can still put on some muscle and should be able to look better for summer.

How is that even possible. You can overhead press 175 but it looks like your shoulders have never lifted anything heavy in it's life.

na no way. ive trained at two other gyms, so the plates are legit. i had an issue of my squat being too low so depth is not an issue. ive done volume work with 325 for 5x5 as well, which does equal 400+ squat. you cant deadlift 455 to lockout without the strength to do so, cant cheat this and it was conventional stance. ive also done 315 for 10 which was easy, had like 5 left in the tank which does equate to 455. even if you dont believe squat and bench, ohp and deadlift are near impossible to cheat on. one other possibilty is that my scale is wrong. but i never thought it really mattered since ive used it to track net change, so it may be off a bit.

im thinking it could be test. ive done one blood test and it was pretty low. might go to a doc to confirm with better testing. but it wasnt clinically low. may be something else dunno

Sometimes there's certain instances where you just gotta suck it up and drink the OJ.

Seriously though, get your protein intake in check, and change up the way you work out. I see guys at the gym who squat and deadlift relatively heavy but still look small, because they do ZERO isolation work or direct arm work. Do high volume workouts, 5 sets per exercise and don't do 5X5 squat and deadlift every day like some people do.

I'm 85kg (and slowly decreasing, thanks to serious attempts at clean eating while lifting more) at 6ft. People who look like they lift at our height have a lot more muscle than we do and much lower fat.

I can lift more than some of the 'looking like they lift' people at the gym, so numbers matterto younot necessarily in relation to what others can lift. I'd agree with others here - drop that body fat significantly and consider that it's a marathon not a sprint in terms of building muscle. An advantage you have is that you're still pretty young. Good luck.

I can also do about 12 deadhang chin ups with no stretch reflex. I tested my 1rm on bent rows (stopped doing them) and got 225 pretty easy.

But I look like **** no joke. I feel like im 20-25% bf. I get outline of my abs after a workout but if I flex so I dont know if my estimate is too high or not. I am contemplating a cut to end all cuts down to 160ish, since my last cut to 180 or so I stopped because I already lost about 40 lbs.

So is it just normal and Im lazy or havnt lost the fat I started with, low test or bad genetics for size? Like i seriously look like ****, even with a pump and warm lighting.

You aren't counting calories correctly, and you probably aren't getting enough protein. If you dial in your calories, and your protein intake and still can't make progress, go see an endocrinologist.

Positive nitrogen balance. He's not going to make any major gains but can still increase lifts and even if he starts cutting in April he could drop 15lbs by July.

thing is gains are not linear. First year he may gain 15lb lbm, second year maybe 10, by the third year you will gain 5lb lbm/year if lucky with perfect diet/training

hahha this makes me depressed the most. ive used mfp for 1k days lol, got that tick over not too long ago. ive tracked on paper for 2 years before that as well. i gained 5 kg last year which was just under my 6kg goal. so i have been slow bulking as planned. protein has been dialed down since i found out 1g/lb isnt true, so i average 130-150 since last year. but my first few years it was 180+.

looks like its time gonna schedule appointment soon

The numbers Mfp kicks out are suspect ..too much reliance on user entered data ...have you checked all your entries against other databases ?

I think from the back you look like you lift, why not just cut and see what you’re playing with then reassess when you know

o right. i use mfp just to track. ive used my own targets after getting the hang of it. initally i used freedieting calculator which used the most accurate formula. besides my weight would be out of control if i was tracking wrong. i think all of my "logistics" are correct or have minor flaws

Yeah I know that, and I get that it’s all playing with numbers and averages. although according to Lyle your numbers are kinda low on potential (and clearly genetics plays a part)...but he also has that hormonal profile of the gods

And tbh he’s still only 20 so there’s quite a bit of development yet to come...men have a tendency to grow into looking like men over their early 20s

Damn just looked at the pics and OP you need to bulk slowly and focus on strength gains. I used to look like you. Took like 3 bulking and cutting cycles before my body changed. Hate to say it but you either going to have to cut 20 lbs and get skinny, or bulk up for the next year and focus on getting stronger. And clean up your diet. If you cut you are going to be extremely skinny though so your choice boyo

I had this physique 2 years ago when i was eating like chit and got sober after 2 years of heavy drinking

i dont think you understand my situation or i didnt explain it enough. ive done it all. ive bulked up to 227 and cut down to 180. ive done like 2-3 bulk/cut cycles. all my lifts are intermediate to advanced based off exrx chart. im screwed if i bulk and screwed if i cut, but ive never been lean before so im leaning towards that

btw routine wise, i ran texas method for a year. added 30-40 kg to my squat and deadlift. press went up 10 kg. i started running 531 w/ jokers, first set last and a reverse pyramid, a month ago, since the volume day was taking me out and i liked the slower progression. but come to think of it, i couldve just tweaked tm. dunno. the only accessories im doing at the moment are chin ups and rear delt work
