Its massive run was fueled by forks, it prob would have been overtaken by eth without them

The forks started at 2k. Essentially a fork gives btc owners an equal proportion of the "forked" coins as they hold in btc.

Almost all of the forks have pumped for some reason, so its essentially free money.

The latest 3 forks saw it go from 4k to 20k while killing the alt market. So a lot of the money that would have normally gone to alts, went to btc for 2 to 3 months because people knew btc was gonna rise so they could get the free coins

I don't think we've found the bottom yet, and if I got a better entry price I would have still be holding my short. But as I've previously said, I don't know how to value bitcoin (that doesn't matter to me because I'm a technical trader). What is it's value? To my mind, it has no intrinsic value other than as a store of wealth, and it's a shytty store of wealth IMO.

This bubble was essentially fuelled by people buying BTC because they expected someone else to pay more for it the next day. That's it. No doubt when it really bottoms out, buyers will come back into the market. But those that think 50-100k prices are coming are delusional IMO. We'll see.

(hint: look at the areas I highlighted on the last chart I posted. These are the areas you want to watch for a reaction, good or bad.)

I heard stories of people selling off coins of 20,000 or 40,000 for dollars even buying pizzas with them.. Imagine having 20,000 coins at one time and then selling for 20,000 per coin? 400 million dollars.. OMG thats how I know time travel hasnt happened yet, cause I would think one of my disntant relatives would have come back and said "yo dawg, buy 20k worth of bitcoin and sell in 2017 when it hits 20 thousand"

A friend of mine got offered 100 bitcoins for a WOW character or a weapon or some shyt back when bitcoins were worth nothing. He wasn't interested at the time. Now he works at IKEA and he's so pissed lol.
