That isn't a problem with the firearm itself. It's a failure of the alleged safety net in place set forth by your government while restricting the rights of law abiding citizens to acquire firearms. That's assuming he actually had a mental illness.

Create and build a gun from scratch...say what? There are already 300-400 million of them in the US, and unsecured borders over which thousands of pounds of illegal drugs flow and, should firearms become more in demand, firearms would also flow. There's no need to make them from scratch LMFAO

It's not the guns. The guns have always been around. It's the fuked up modern America we've built where people are put under intense pressure constantly and you get run over if you don't bust ass to keep up. Parents are creating drug addicts at an early age all over the country and spending less time with their kids teaching them how to be normal fuking humans. Take away the guns and you'll still have a societal problem. Maybe they'll use a knife or a bat and fewer people will die but the problem will continue to grow. Stricter gun control is like putting a band aid on a leaking dam.

Hmmm... it's not that daunting. If I can teach my 6 year old daughter to build an AR, anyone can do it.
