Exactly....some things dont even matter at all but our mind easily goes into negativity becoz we are hiding our own miseries by doing so.

But i still think some people are victim of jealousy and unwanted attention, which does serious harm but to no purpose.

When were in poor state of health we might become withdrawn partly due to our brain generating negative impulses around people, instead of positive ones. Which can be confused for general dislike.

I don't hate, but I have the thing where I feel like I'm talking to an insect or animal.

In addition, for the same reasons as you, I slightly fear normal people as they always seem to be up to something wrong and damaging. The number of people who don't seem to care what they do is crazy. That and average people just repeat what they see on TV, the internet, etc. They seem like badly programmed robots to me.

I love to socialize, but it's getting really boring.

All the guys have women issues these days, or they have few scars left from the past. Serious reason why everything turned so bad in the recent years. Complex!

Everyone suffers pain in their lives. Don't let this pain define your future. Learn to let go and embrace inner peace. Forgive those that have wronged you and move on. Don't hold the sins of people in your past against other people in the present and future. Life is a journey full of ups and downs. Embrace this truth and revel in the positive and let go of the negativity. Happiness is a state of mind, not a destination.

It got to a point where it really wasn't healthy. I'm really, really trying to find the positive in people. It's so hard not to fantasize about throwing 99% of them into an active volcano.

yup, same. I think I’ve become to the point where I’m more passive about it, though.

We can be friends until you give me a reason not to be. What are your interests in life? What do you do for work, if you work? What food could you not live without for the rest of your life?

Mix of getting older I suppose, and the fact I'm in my 3rd year of teaching. I teach 3rd grade. If I let stuff bother me I would go crazy. If being surrounded by 20 eight year olds is doable, then being around adults is just fine.

Im a student, but due to some things that came up with an ex girlfriend, I am taking the quarter off and living at home. I study philosophy with physics and psych minors. Couple credits away from music minor. Also, love rock climbing and outdoorsy stuff, on top of music. I’m pretty into what I study, but I’ve got some senioritis lately. I don’t workout anymore, but I did in high school. School eventually took a priority and fitness seemed unimportant

I’ve started to love Thai food lately, especially curry

I know how you feel OP. But you really have to learn to direct your energy elsewhere and not futilely expending it on other people that, on an individual basis, really don't matter. Otherwise you're just going to end up alienating those rare people who you actually have a lot in common with. No-one can deal with constant negativity, even if they're in the same boat eventually someone will put some distance between the other because of how taxing it can be on the human spirit to hear nothing but. There has to be some optimism.

One way I've come to deal with people is by moving to a different country. The environment here is far more suited to my disposition, there are far more people worthy of respect due to work ethic, no political correctness, thick skin, better lifestyle and dietary choices (if you don't include all the middle aged men with alcoholism). Also, and this is a key variable, I no longer accidentally eavesdrop on conversations. I have really sensitive hearing so can pick up conversations without even trying to do so, however here I have to focus to make anything out and even then I don't understand. I get really irked by people discussing really banal stuff like he said she said, that night they got "totally wasted", celebrity gossip etc and theycouldbe talking about that but I'm none the wiser.

But when I fly back to the UK, oh god do I want to immediately get back on the plane.

Without moving to a different country, all you can do is try to develop a social circle of people who you have a lot of admiration for and commonality with, focus on them, and get a partner who will shift your focus from the general populous to her and the family you may ultimately raise.
Into- Mountaineering, running & Djent/Progressive music.
Anti- Lack of accountability. Censorship, fat acceptance, & current wave feminism. That's why I left the UK.

In a strange way, that felt like some of the most genuine and understanding interaction I’ve had with another person in a while.

At my first college, I had the mentality of getting a partner that I could shift my focus away from the general population, but that puts a lot of pressure on one person, and when it goes south, man does it hurt hard.
