What a well reasoned, articulate post. You did a great job getting right to the point of why firearms as the great equalizer, allowing the old, weak, infirm, or outnumbered to defend themselves from the strong, is not a good thing. Bravo

And you *******s choose the high mass shooting rate every time - backed up by the most brain dead logic ever.

So one has to assume, given your overly materialistic and superficial culture, you have over time slowly come to devalue human life.

Your'e homicide rate is TWENTY FIVE TIMES HIGHER than any comparable country

Even if you take out the variance for suicides and all the other stuff you claim is skewing the stats... you are still fn mile in front.

You literally refuse to acknowledge defensive gun uses, specific deterrence, and general deterrence, don't you?

You literally choose to ignore how we own and have access to and carry more and more guns, yet violent crime goes down...for decades.

You literally are not capable of comprehending that "gun free" criminal empowerment zones are almost always where this happens

haha, you'd come up with any reason to ignore someone even suggesting to remove your precious guns.

do you guys simply not care?
I mean those dead kids are people from your country. Killed with your guns. Because some misc'er like yourself snapped and could (as easily as I could procure say a knife) get himself a gun. And then the damage he can cause is amplified to the nth degree. Not so here (new zealand) because we don't have guns every where, cause we're not fn retarded like you guys are, hence its hard to get a gun.

I really think your society as a whole is somewhat sick. You don't value life like the rest of the world does.

No, it isn't. You fell perfectly for the liberal lie. You are the weak minded sheep being told what to think and lead to inaccurate conclusions, intentionally.

Tell me, do you see the very drastic, very important difference between your above statement, and this one?

You need to check your out of control emotions and get back in touch with reality. Think critically. Use logic. Understand these stats and numbers you are throwing around willy nilly.

nah not me personally, but on average the typical kiwi, aussie or brit ****s all over the typical yank.

I don't feel the need to arm myself - like you guys do, so if that's any indication of self assurance or confidence, which is a form of strength then yes of course I am stronger than any one of you.

Tell me, are you a gun owner?

Jesus Christ gun discussion on the misc is pointless. Nobody moves from their ‘side’. Non Americans or non gun owners just say ‘take away all guns!’ And gun owners or second amendment enthusiasts(I dunno what you’d call them, activists?) don’t want anybody or any government imposing on their rights so nothing ever happens. Guns aren’t sometbhbg new so what happened that changed chit so dramatically since the late 90s? Maybe I’m remembering wrong but I feel like pre Columbine this wasn’t as common as it is now. I personally don’t feel that the issue is guns, it’s something cultural but it’s not the actual guns that’s causing this. Nobody can deny that the carnage would be much less severe if their were no guns, but there guns aren’t causing kids, or adults in this case, to shoot schools up.

Good lord Farley, how the fuk are you finding time to read and answer all this chit? You’ve been in this discussion for a long time lol.

What do cars do? Kill 30k or so people a year.

What do cell phones do? Kill a dozen or so kids every day.

What are guns made for? Launching a projectile.

What else can I help you with?

I mentioned that in the middle of the post m8. the guns obviously cause much more carnage then anything else would, but that’s not what I said or even asked in my post, why’d you single that out?

The guns aren’t what’s causing these kids to do this, the guns aren’t telling these kids ‘hey kid let’s go shoot up a school I’m bored’. The guns aren’t responsible for these kids boiling over and that’s what I was talking about. The guns are an after effect but not what’s causing this in the first place. Something in the last couple decades is causing these events to occur at unacceptable rates. In columbine they blamed heavy metal, Marylyn Manson and explicit music.

If you’re going to put something in all caps for emphasis, maybe you should learn what the **** you’re talking about first?

Our non-gun homicide rate is also higher than most European countries. You gonna blame that on guns too?

We have areas that are virtual warzones, that drive the homicide rates up. You can’t blame it on any one factor, guns included. We have states with heavy gun ownership and few gun laws that have European level murder rates, and states with restrictive gun laws that have much higher murder rates.

I still think that you should have armed security guards to protect people's property and lives and that includes schools as well. I personally would feel much better knowing that my kids were going to a school where they have armed guards and metal detectors.
