Did you forget where you’re posting?

Miscing is basically LARPing for the majority of these freaks. Maybe 10% of what gets posted here is based in reality, and even then it’s embellished.

Probably not as accurate/thorough as something like the the Stanford Binet but I scored 81 on the Mensa test 2 months ago, which they said translates to like a 118 IQ. I knew I wasn't a genius but was very curious how I would measure up and it was by far easier to take the MAT than get a more formal IQ test administered by a psych. I didn't even think about IQ until I started listening to Jordan Peterson, but that got me interested. Not gonna lie, I preferred pre-test when I still could delude myself from time to time... When I was tested they had it broken down into different skills and such. So I'm below average on reading comprehension yet it amazes me of how stupid the average person is when it comes to this skill. When I read something, the first time it just goes over my head, but if I keep reading it several times, I've got it, each time it makes more sense to me. Still, I feel like I can't be that low because I see people every day that will read something and come back saying it said something it didn't say. I write "My dog has long fur" and they come back "are you saying all dogs have long fur". GTFO. However I am really above average on cognitive skills.

that is interesting. if your spatial reasoning and pattern perception is that good, then you should double down on it, and pick a suitable career that plays to that strength if you haven't already. it's sad to think most people pick fields that are outside of their realm of competence, and consequently never realize their true net worth.

I believe all IQ tests are horse****, not just the tests you can take online.

In my first year of secondary school (year 7/age 11), I received a score of 80 after sitting a cognitive ability test. They honestly believed I was border line retarded, so they put me in low sets, despite my good results in all other examinations.
In fact, my scores from the tests you take before leaving primary school placed me in the highest possible attainment band for Mathematics, English and Science - this disparity should have had alarm bells ringing.

I then took another at the end of high school where I scored in the mid 120s.

My most recent test was for a job assessment (ridiculous, I know), where I was given a score in the upper 120s.

The disparity between my scores could potentially be because I did not take the first test seriously (I was 11 lulz), but I honestly do not believe that to be the case.

inb4 miscers tell me that the 80 score was actually correct and I should work as cleaner for the rest of my life.

EDIT: I think to be reliable you would have to take them many times.

Do they have questions about remembering stuff? Say if you gave me a series of words or numbers to look at for 30 sec then ask me what the words or numbers were I'd just give up.

I'm good with logic and math though (usually have perfect score for math, SAT 800/800, GMAT 50/51). But I'm sure that is just a small part of the IQ test.

Partially in a career that benefits, however I have no artistic ability...which is good because there is no money in those fields. All I know is to stay away from listening and always try and visualize everything.

All I remember was the shapes were incredibly nuts at the end, but I was able to orient and turn it in my head and match it to the other one on the page without too much time.

No idea which IQ test it was - volunteered last minute.

Wouldn’t it be great if all schools administered a test like this so kids understood their strengths and weaknesses? Don’t provide a score but tell the kid how he studies best - IE for me I went through school knowing I had to sit near the front of class because listening wasn’t good enough

Cool - always wondered what someone with the average IQ would consider still easy and when something becomes "hard".

Like, what stuff is too bothersome/hard for you? Too much information at once, too complex information with a lot of dependencies. SRS question.

Never said I was ashamed. I’ll have Already accomplished more than 80% of the population has by time I turn 30.

This only reaffirmed to me that IQ is basically bullcht other than knowing your strengths and weaknesses. I’d even say I’d prefer to me 100 than 140 because plenty of genius’ I know cannot function. One guy knows 30. Languages, cannot drive and hasn’t his entire life...no thx jeff
