It seems like it's just banter. He's probably trying to keep it light hearted and joke around with the employees. I'm assuming it's some kind of tradie job that's mostly men and he's probably trying to build camaraderie. You seem like you have thin skin and might be better suited for a different job. I see you and others saying to go cry to HR which is the such a woman thing to do. How do you even respect yourself? Maybe he is socially retarded like the guy in my story and thought it was cool to talk like that to me. Then I'd get HR involved and show the texts if he was still being a bitch. Is it possible for you to change supervisors? Dude sounds like a ****. If it was a co-worker I wouldn't bother with HR. But as a supervisor that's some bullshiet.

This. It’s a tradie job, just rustle him back and go into work as if your feelers are not hurt.

If he’s cool after you tease him back you can be cool with him and have more people to network through.

Worst case, he continues to disrespect you and treats you poorly at work over the next few weeks. If so report him, that usually never pans out well though. Just try to relate him, maybe he’s a bit socially awkward and is trying to make friends.

As someone who has been both at the unionized and management level in my experience:

If the guys on your crew are giving you a ribbing either a) they respect you enough to think you can handle the joke and want to see if youre manly enough to let it roll off your back and fire shots back in a fun manner

Or b) they hate your gutts, think youre an ego maniac and want to bring you down, humiliate you and send your entitled/arrogant/non playful ass out.

Figure out which is which, but either way assert yourself. Posting about in on forums and thinking about HR tells me youre not cut out for the tradie life, srs chirping and ribbing are how men opperate. Its a **** test to see whos competent/confident/insecure and make them fall in line as such. Just give it back to them and your life will be 100x better than of you had gone to HR.
