I just checked out a studio that was $2600/month and fuarking tiny. The only reason I even checked it out was due to the amazing view of downtown SF but couldn't bring myself to spend $31.2k/year to rent a tiny studio.
That being said just fukking lmao at living in a house if you're a single male. I'm out almost every night of the week when the fuk am I gonna do yard work or clean all the extra space?? Apartments are convenient and cheaper and owning a home via mortgage is a fukking ball and chain throughout your youth I don't care how much it pays off when you're old.

Not as bad as people make it out to be boyo. I live in the city (Philly) and yhe prices you listed are cheap honestly.
BRB covered parking in the city
BRB have pool access in summer
BRB never have to shovel snow, throw down salt, clean off car, worry about someone slipping on my property, etc.
BRB never have to worry about the appliances breaking, redoing house to keep modern, etc
BRB go to move dont have to pay some peasant 7% of sale to list it online for me
BRB no proerty taxes, sewer, HOA, etc
BRB can move basically whenever I want
Pros and cons to both but LMAO at the homeownercels that think owning is somehow so much better than renting. Theyve done financial analysis of most situations and for similar buildings, it doesnt pay off to own until you live in the property for 7-10 years.

1 bedrooms are anywhere from 2000-2800 downtown vancouver, 2 bedrooms are 3k+ minimum. Views/higher floors cost more. (these are for livable units not roach infested etc.)
Just got an email for a new tower pre sale. 1 bedroom/1bathroom 564sqft no views and on the 1st floor of 40+. 936k brb each floor up +10-15k
The messed up part is if you buy that pre-sale for 936k, 25% down (234k down (lol) ) your mortgage would be $3514 monthly, strata payment would be $250 a month roughly and property tax would be $180 roughly =4k a month and your return is 2k from rent causing you to still pay 2k. The people laughing are the ones that bought in 2010-2014 when the same units were 300-500k. Yet the tower will sell out in an hour.. dat dere over seas money

Housing market is generally terrible for millenials. Best bet is to buy a place of your own and have someone to split the costs with.
