1. Sports are awesome, if the weather is nice I will need a break to go outside and move around because I can't stand being in not moving all day, but if the weather sucks I can stay in watching all day.

2. Maybe it is the lack of education on the subject showing, but what can you really do about these problems? ED fix diet exercise, pills seem like the only options, and really there's not much you can do about cumming to quick except maybe have more sex, I find now that after year of fairly regular sex I pretty much will not bust unless I consciously decide it is time.

3. Guys rip on each other, that is how we communicate, joke, show each other we care, honestly I rip on women to, if I am comfortable with someone I will poke fun at them, hell I make jokes at my own expense a lot of the time. If I don't jokingly tease someone there's a 99% chance that while I may like them I am not fully comfortable around them, and they probably are not someone I really enjoy hanging out with.

I know how a C works, it's one of the only surgeries you have to learn in general education. I still prefer it tbh. I want kids but I am repulsed by the idea of:

A) Child birth
B) Breast feeding
C) Diapers
D) Teenagers

We're confined to biology. Some things have room for change and improvement, other things will always stay the same. A lot of us would be lying if we tried to be more sensitive and caring. It's just not in our best interests to be emotional. Look at Morrissey, he's a handsome guy who tried to be compassionate and caring throughout life and ended up striking out romantically and depressed 90% of the time. We just can't be assed changing if it means a crappy life. Pumping iron and not giving much of a fukk is a tried and tested way to keep ourselves sweet

I think it is a real problem that we are so adversarial about this. I typically hear mostly men discussing innate gender difference with real passion. Women want to deny it. At this point I want to discuss what stakes we each have here. men, I think, want to protect the status quo (their higher status, tbh). Women want to take some power for themselves by claiming they have much of the same potential men have. In that sense, it's a power struggle, and the truth can become captive to agendas.

I try to maintain some degree of remove from these biases, but of course it's not entirely possible. I want to note here that I've never rejected the idea of differences between gender. It's obvious they are there. I just think there are not as many mental differences as we presume, nor are the mental differences so rigid. I base this on both experimental data and personal experience as an educator.

Physically, there are obviously differences between men and women, which is one reason why I definitely think we need both men's and women's sports in competition. But mentally, I think it's murkier. That's all. I think we most often stop at the level of what an old philosophy professor of mine called "folk psychology"--that is, things we consider "common sense" but have no true foundation.

No you are not.
The problem is that it shouldn't be a power struggle. Men and Women complement eachother, we should be working together, doing our best according to our natural capabilities. There's an imbalance in our society.

The whole postmodern theory is based on struggle, be it a race, gender, or classe one.

You, like many today, are contioned from birth to see everything through the "Us vs Them" glasses, and that's not healthy.

It is and so it is breast feeding. I am personally just grossed out by it, but I'm 23, I will likely grow out of it when it's actually mine turn.

Also, I am a lowly student still. With much to learn.

Exactly.
If it isn't a power struggle, why have so many societies throughout history gone out of their way to limit what women can do (by not allowing them voting rights, by practices like clitorectomy and foot-binding)?

I don't particularly want to see things as a power struggle, but in many ways, a lot of the world seems to be that way. It would be nice not to be so adversarial, for sure.

Another note, though, is when we say "just biology" I do think we may be overlooking the fact that we really still don't 100% understand biology. Saying it's biology opens up a whole new discussion of what exactly that means and how it works.

FYI
Those of you who default to just saying I'm annoying instead of actually talking to me are contributing to the problem here, but I don't expect much more from the misc.

I don't /believe/ in anything, because my general intellectual stance is skepticism. (Or at the very least, I tend to believe most things are more complicated than they appear).

I guess I'd ask you--gender differences in what? In our bodies OF COURSE. Men have testes, greater muscle mass, and different properties of musculature as well (interesting differences re: 1 RM and endurance). Women have more active fat tissue and a whole host of other features that let us incubate children that I find interesting (like holy chit, chimerism).

Mental differences I'm still not quite sure about, in part because neuroscience is still in its infancy, and in part because the data aka observing things in the real world would seem to imply women and men can mostly do the same jobs, even if one gender may predominate in one intellectual field. I can also draw on my educational experience and see that male and female performance on things like standardized tests isn't universally one way or the other (there are some stronger math students who are female, some male, etc.).

This morning I was appalled at how little some men knew about very basic things about women.

Then I thought that I probably have areas of ignorance I am clueless about men about.

So I may not even know what I don't know. But here is what I know I don't know.

Please inform me.

1. How men can watch so many hours of sports in one stretch. 4 hrs max for me.

2. Why there isn't more education on how to control your penis. We have info galore on what to do in a bear or shark attack. So many men have issues with cheating or fapping or ed or quick or too long ejaculation but it seems like everything available to you is a pill or broscience. Seems unfair.

3. Why do men bully their friends? The language seems aggressive. I know men report feeling lonely, which is one reason they love women, because they can be more vulnerable without the judgement.

4. Some men make fun of women for their differences - weak, emotional, unambituous. But when these same men see a woman who is strong, logical and ambitious, she is also ridiculed for having those qualities. Do you think men know what they want? Or are they as paradoxical as women?

TLDR: Need a dictionary, boring, OP clueless about men
1. I can't watch sport for hours so don't know
2. I don't need education to tell me rape is not a good thing. Neither do most men. There does seem to be an issue with compulsive sexual behaviour in a fairly large proportion of men. Don't really understand it though.
3. We don't, women are WAY worse for this
4. Only insecure men.

Only primitive and backwards societies act like that. There's absolutely NO BIAS against women in the western world these days. Quite the contrary, actually. 21st century western women are the most spoiled people in the history of humanity.

If we can't fully understand biology (Indeed we can't, but we getting pretty damn close) what's to say about psychology and humanities where 2/3 of the "scientific" studies can't even be replicated?

Does it sound right to you that we base our entire society and gender dynamics on flawed theories like those?

Because men are men and women are women.

Maybe you should be asking the question: "why aren't women more like men?" Maybe women need to enjoy sports more than shopping, be directly confrontational instead of catty and backstabbing, and be strong in their own way instead of trying to emulate male strength characteristics.

Oh, and stop pretending to be offended by anything that has to do with a penis publicly, then ask to be choked and pounded when the world isn't watching.

The only thing I have an issue with is your last point.

I do not want to see a penis publicly, I find it off putting and frankly gross. I want to see my boyfriend's in private later on, that does not change that fact.

LMFAO at the way you contradict yourself within a single sentence, displaying your bias in the way you use hyperbole in expressing your contempt for the female gender.

I'm outcheah. Misc can keep talking to itself about how unsexist it is while every other post contradicts this thesis. ****in mental gymnastics.

There is no sexism. We are different, that's it. Not good, not bad, just different. Forcing women to act like man is destroying our societies.

As for black people, they commit the majority of crimes, constantly have children out of wedlock, worship ghetto culture, major in stupid chit which there is simply no market value and demand productive people's money to try and fix their mistakes. Then they complain about the difference in standards of living. That's fuking retarded, and even though I know not every black person is not like that, I can understand when whites or asians don't want anything to do with them.

Then I thought that I probably have areas of ignorance I am clueless about men about.

So I may not even know what I don't know. But here is what I know I don't know.

Please inform me.

1. How men can watch so many hours of sports in one stretch. 4 hrs max for me.

2.Why there isn't more education on how to control your penis. We have info galore on what to do in a bear or shark attack. So many men haveissues with cheatingor fapping or edor quick or too long ejaculationbut it seems like everything available to you is a pill or broscience. Seems unfair.

3. Why do men bully their friends? The language seems aggressive. I know men report feeling lonely, which is one reason they love women, because they can be more vulnerable without the judgement.

4.
Do you think men know what they want? Or are they as paradoxical as women?

TLDR: Need a dictionary, boring, OP clueless about men
1.
Because it's exciting/fun/interesting/whatever. Because we/some of us enjoy it?
It's OBVIOUS.

2.
Low IQ women confirmed.

3.
It's a way of showing affection, it makes us laugh (it's fun), etc. Unless you're a sensitive bish or a women.

4.
Yes I think men know what they want.

LMFAO no such thing as sexism or racism? Ok. You don't believe in bigotry because you want to move the goal posts further and further out so that you can continue to stereotype freely.

Ah well, carry on. You're in the right place.

I find obese women gross, but if one shows up at the beach I'm not going to call 911 and ensure all the children get grief counseling.

I'm outcheah. Misc can keep talking to itself about how unsexist it is while every other post contradicts this thesis. ****in mental gymnastics.
How does it help society by having men and women interchange roles? Your saying all this time men and women have been the same but men forced women into certain roles due to how dominant we are?

I mean, to be fair, I do think we should normalize nudity, but that's a different kind of an issue really... like... neither breasts nor penises should probably be taboo. We have this weird fear of the human body.

I can't escape this thread ahhhh okay this is my last post. OK. So. How does it help society? I dunno, man! I think giving people greater ability to choose is a good thing, though. Life, liberty, pursuit of happiness. Some men would be way happier staying home and taking care of kids, some women would be happier as astrophysicists. I totally do not believe that all men should change "roles" with all women, but I think one of the WONDERFUL luxuries of modern life is that we have so much ability to choose what we do with our lives, not limited by things like gender or even physical handicaps. And yeah, in a lot of ways women are physically weaker and more vulnerable, and in the past that's allowed men to take charge of even things that aren't predicated on the physical as if being stronger also = being smarter or more generally competent. So um, IDK, I think it's neat that more young people can choose what they want to do with their lives. And if many women choose to became like, iunno, stay at home moms, and they can manage that financially, then cool. I don't care. BTW I also think it's cool that my little brother, who LOVES babies and caring for them, may have the option to take paternity leave when he has kids. All good.

Now someone will bring up the military and whether women should meet the male standard and there I will say that they should, because it's a matter of life and death and a double standard is not helpful; however, technology is increasingly changing the face of war and not everyone in future will need the same physical skills, so who knows.

1. If it's a sport I love, like rugby or football, I can watch it all fuçking weekend... And have done so several times with friends.... It's not just a dude thing.

2. Usually guys are pretty resourceful and if they have an issue, they look for ways to solve it by asking questions. For that matter, why aren't more women educated about what their vaginas do? I know some sadly misinformed or ignorant of the truth and facts women.... Why do they have so many issues like their periods or cheating or squirting or even just orgasming I'm general? Why is everything wrong with us solved with a pill or shot or Cosmo?

3. Some guys have a friendship that allows for mutual ribbing. They shít on each other and it's a form of respect and caring that they're alive. Men. Are. Different. Than. Women. We don't have to understand it, we just have to accept it. Also... Why are women such catty bitches to their friends behind their backs? Lovey dovey in person and the shít on them to another mutual friend in private? I prefer the dude way more, actually.

4. only the insecure men don't like strong women. Even the men who want their woman in the kitchen don't want a weak woman. They want a strong one who can take care of all the tasks that come with being a stay at home wife or mom.... Bc that shít sure ain't for no weak ass bitch. The men who diss strong women are insecure. But they also have a different definition of what they consider a strong woman to be than you or I would. Probably even different words, but meaning the same thing in a lot of cases.

I think each individual man has his ideal of what his perfect woman would be like... But that's not for us to know, as women. I guess we'll find out when we find the one with whom our ideals of our ideal man meshes with in just the right way.
