I got stuck in my driveway this morning in four fukking inches of snow. Glad I was close enough to something to be able to to leave it in drive, leg press it back into motion, jump back in and tear out of there. Guess I'll be moving snow again tonight!
Guys are SOOOOOOOO weird.

Tell me if this is normal. My guy can't watch television and talk to me at the same time. He gets this frustrated look on his face and reaches for the remote and pauses the show before answering a simple question. I mean even one-liners, he's incapable of multi-tasking.

Is this the beginning of the end?
it's called sympathizing you heartless bitch

not srs. can confirm the not wanting to be distracted when watching something you are into
i feel you man. The car is STILL in the shop. Insurance doesn't cover rental cars, so this is turning into a $2k adventure, all because of some dingleberry. We have our emergency fund, but still... it hurts to see a paycheck go out of the windows

my grandpa won't make it to Thanksgiving, we're going down in 2 weeks to have our last good times with him.

i'll hold you if you hold me brah. I've heard the movie isn't bad, if you ignore all the silly political attention its getting

edit: is it your job that gets you down?
fuk what kinda peasant insurance you running brah

if you're car's under warranty, dealership should reimburse you for rental needed during repairs
See, I thought this too. But that's not how it is with my dude. The most boring-est, non-important thing could be happening in the show, and he has to pause it.

I've learned over the months that I should just make myself scarce when he's watching TV (which, btw, is everyday). I usually go do my chores or go to our room to read. But it's still crazy IMO.
one woman's bore is another man's fascination

you guys not share similar tastes in entertainment or something?
Hot as balls here man, whiskey/rum and cokes are my go to. The good stuff is ALWAYS drunk neat tho.

Still play the pre-sequel a lot. Currently playing Claptrap's Claptastic Adventure working on a level 30 doppelganger.

And can confirm after rereading thrad. It's not a man/woman thing, I just get annoyed when actually watching a show or something I'm in to and someone starts trying to hold a conversation with me.

What's up badblood, hope your day gets better.
My wife and I have had a pretty tough week, kid got in trouble at school and they're using a machine gun to kill a fly, unbelievable overreaction.
Anyhoo, Red, my wife took out her stress, etc. in cycle today and got her best numbers EVER (I think she's been cycling 4 or 5 years?). So that's a plusYa'll have a good weekend.

Lol, I leave him to do as he pleases. Like I said, I'm a very low-maintenance wife.

Well... I generally don't like television. And he loves it. So...

I've been trying though. We watched Narcos together and are now watching the Dexter series. Even though he had seen both.

Dexter's sister makes me nuts.

I haven't been to cycle yet. I told her I will go sometime, she's been there long enough to know everyone and they bring their SOs along sometimes if they aren't already class members.
I am ramping up my cardio, whenever I do go I want to at least be somewhat adept, I don't want to run out after 15 minutes to hurl, haha.

Jeez.

I'd be offended srs. Not to the point that I'd give him chit for it - I just don't feel the need to talk to someone if they don't appreciate me talking to them.

The worst feeling in the world is feeling unwanted.

Luckily, I've been alone for enough of my life that I'm comfortable being on my own. I'll go to restaurants alone and even the cinema. If he doesn't appreciate my company - I'll make myself scarce.

I got super lucky with a very chill woman, lol. She just needs to get chit off her chest sometimes. Now if we are having a serious conversation then she has full attention obviously. If she's just bitching I've learned to turn my listening ears off because she doesn't really want input from me, just an ear to hear her words.

We're talking different things and concepts I believe. If you want a person's opinion, interaction, active listening, don't interrupt something theyre actively engaged in to discuss what *you* want. I'm sure there is something youre interested in that you do by yourself that you'd be super annoyed someone (regardless of man/woman) came up and started distracting you from it.

Wouldn't argue wanting to bitch with no input is just your woman. Heard so many times from various wommens that they don't really want someone to solve their problems, they just want to bitch.

Those are wonderful pics! You should also post these in that camping/hiking/adventures thread, bet they'd love thisHow long were you out there for?
Will do, I'm subbed.

I was there only for two days, I would have stayed longer but I had company. It was our first opportunity in the mountains since we've known each other, as they broke up with their partner and they always went somewhere during weekends and I didn't want to hang behind. The next two days were really clear too, and I haven't had a 4-5 day stint in the mountains for over a year and a half.

You got a good one, better not mess it up fatty.

Wouldn't argue wanting to bitch with no input is just your woman. Heard so many times from various wommens that they don't really want someone to solve their problems, they just want to bitch.
I see. He's always distracting me when I'm cooking (which is the one thing I enjoy the most). But point taken.

The problem is already resolved with me vacating the area. I was just curious if this is a "man problem."

I love the Don Henley quote. Some magazine asked him what all men should know about women. His response:

"They basically want the same things we do. They just want to talk about it more."

Some good husbands/BFs itt. My wife has a tendency to turn into the snowball rolling down the hill, so if she's starting to really pick up steam I'll ask her to tell me the couple of highlights from her day, and then we can be done talking about work and start to enjoy our evening. She appreciates this (srs).

That hits the nail on the head. Went through a divorce a number of years ago, and read a GREAT book from a psychologist who was a marriage counselor. Was basically what men/women want, in order, and explains how/why things go bad.

And guess what, it was all the same chit for both men/women, just in a different order.

Would agree. We (men) just want to jump and solve problems since we're problem solvers by nature, and women much more so want to just talk about it and get it off their chest most of the time.

Agreed. Really though - HE vents about his work about 4x more than me.

Our evenings usually go like this:

- come home. He talks for 45 mins - 1 hour about his work (he works with shady arse people and mostly all women). This is during me pouring his dinner and him eating.

- As soon as he's done eating, I have about 5-10 minutes to tell him of my day. Mine is easier cuz I work with all men and it's an easier work environment.

- He's done eating. Television goes on.

- I collect the dishes and retire to the kitchen to clean up.

- I may return to catch a few mins of television with him. Usually get bored and go to bed. In bed, I read and fall asleep.
