This. Brb . . . "I need the state to protect me, and others, from myself because I lack so much self control that I can't be trusted with the option of buying a firearm."

If you're that kind of person, then you shouldn't be exposed to the general public in any way. You should institutionalize yourself--or "something".

Although . . . in CA, they were going to install nets around the Golden Gate Bridge because people apparently also need to be prevented from jumping off it to off themselves. So there's that.

Hey guys, anybody feel like helping a novice shooter out?

I'm looking for a stock for my Mossberg 500 shotgun, and wondering if the Misc. has any favorites or suggestions.

I'm open to anything really, but I'd prefer something with a pistol grip since I'll likely be teaching my wife how to shoot it. I'd be comfortable spending up to $100, but a bit cheaper would be ideal.

Appreciate any help fellas.

Honest recommendation would be a youth stock so she can shoulder it. That said, if she's recoil averse, Blackhawk now makes the old knoxx recoil compensating stocks and they do cut down on felt recoil.

But really, a different gun would probably be better for her especially if it's a 12 ga.

Hey guys, I just purchased my first AR15 and plan on buying a few PMAGS and 1000 rounds of target ammo. Iโ€™m looking for some direction on what would be good to run with. Iโ€™m inexperienced and still trying to figure everything out, and there are so many types of ammo out there. Any help is appreciated.

Palmetto State Armory has amazing deals on PMAGs. It looks like they're completely out of stock at the moment. PMAGs are pretty much the go-to these days, but I actually prefer the USGI mags since they fit better in a vest. Meh.

Midway's IMI M193 is probably the best deal on ammo going at around 24 cents/round.

Lol I agree. Her ability to shoot it was definitely an afterthought for me. I didn't expect her to even want to touch the thing. It's for home protection, and she's more into it than I had predicted.

I'm planning on buying a handgun as well, so I assumed that she'd wait until I purchased something less intimidating than the Mossberg to take an interest.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into the Blackhawk stocks today.

Any Minnesota MFC? Bill introduced pretty much bans semi-auto rifles.

https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...hp?t=175450501

Thought it was just a joke, but isn't.

https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bills/tex...ssion_number=0

Outright bans suppressors, regardless of NFA rules.
Cannot purchase any firearms if you owe back child-support.
10rd restrictions

What is considered an "assualt weapon"
(1) semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept adetachable magazineand has
oneor more of the following:

(i) a pistol grip or thumbhole stock;

(ii) any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the
nontrigger hand; (vertical foregrip)

(iii) a folding or telescoping stock; or

(iv) a shroud attached to the barrel or that partially or completely encircles the barrel
allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the nontrigger hand without being burned, but
excluding a slide that encloses the barrel; (handguard)
Even the revered, safe-looking mini-14 has it's stock partially covering the barrel allowing you to hold it.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

Yes. Buy that IMI at 24 cents per round shipped from Midway now. That is literally the best deal on 223/5.56 in probably over a decade ($290, 1200 rounds, free ship)

https://www.midwayusa.com/product/20...cket-boat-tail

They have $110/450 rounds free ship also same price per round

Yeah...because a law abiding FL resident with a license to carry and no training had an accident last week that training would have prevented

BRB
Shooter was 19, too young for a FL carry license
Shooter did not have any carry license
Shooter was intentionally shooting people, not a negligent or accident discharge
FL requires training for a carry license already!
The guys with training waited outside while kids were killed
The disarmed victims thanks to gun control were killed with no effective means of shooting back

And this all means we need stricter required training .
We need our mass shooters to be well trained. They aren't killing efficiently enough.

Wait...wut?

This is more like $10 off plus an additional 200 rounds free + free shipping when you order a case. And it's IMI instead of Wolf.

Pretty much.

Recently for awhile a few times Wolf Gold .223, which as we know is very good and really 5.56 spec apparently, has been available at about $300/1k shipped. But IMI is at least as good as the Wolf, $10 cheaper, and 200 extra rounds. Compared to basically the best mainstream available deal I can remember, it's still $10 less and +200 rounds...which is about a $70 combined "price drop" equivalent
