lol, yeah Academy carries ARs but after Orlando they took them off display and advertising, and put them in the stockroom, so you could only see them on request. I remember even calling them to clarify that stupid-ass fence straddling policy.

I am not justifying what they are doing... I think it is a DBAG move.

However, they are still FAR AND AWAY the most pro-gun box store. If I boycotted them I would end up at Target and well they make Wal-Mart look like Ted Nugent.

Thankfully, in the sporting goods world most of us have other choices that REI and Dicks.

Yep, I have a few hunting things left over from their store.

They had polyester blend stuff instead of the straight cotton walmart likes to carry. Building is now empty.

There is some truth to that. But then where I live I could buy everything Walmart has somewhere else. Question is, would that somewhere else be better than Walmart? Not many gun stores sell deodorant or fairlife milk so that's a tough question to answer

The difference between Walmart and Dicks is that Dicks published calls on social media and CNN for AWBs, standard-cap mag bans, UBCs, and I believe gun registration, and Walmart simply stopped selling MSRs.

Call it what you want, they are a major sporting goods chain that sells guns and ammo and AR's and will hand out pro-2A literature and membership info at the gun counter.

I don't care if people unfriend over political views. I do it, or I set it to top seeing anything they post at least. I've had people drop me the past couple weeks after I, you know, brought forth too many facts that challenged their preconceived notions. It's expected.
