You don't remember when the Senate was voting on UBCs and AWBs in 2013 after Sandy Hook? When MD passed an AWB, Colorado passed a mag ban because "magazines are ammunition", NY passed the SAFE Act, and CT banned semi-auto rifles?

Sometimes it's hard to believe that it's been 5 years...

What age is it appropriate to take my son to the range to pop off some .22's? Is there a .22 rifle for kids that isn't total chit that I would enjoy shooting too?

I mentioned taking my 7 year old and my wife Bert stared me hard.

He hasn't because he was probably informed that he legally can't. On top of that one of his criticisms of Obama was that he issued too many EO's which was a symbol of his failing leadership, this making him a hypocrite as well. I'm sure he got a nice reaming between the NRA/GOA/NAGR etc as well as Republicans and voters.

He's been all over the place. Arm teachers, eo bump stocks, then going to CPAC and telling them the 2A is under siege and he's going to protect it, then going back again to screwing due process, and entertaining Dianne Feinstein of all people. I'm sure the most recent turn "back" to the good side is due to his base telling him he'll be a one term pres if he doesn't get his act together.

I've let my 7 year old pop a few off on my 10/22

it was way too long - I'm going to get an adjustable stock for it to teach him shooting - hopefully this year - so he'll be ready to hunt in a year or two. he's already asking to shoot a deer but I don't think he's mentally ready.

he's been with me when I killed one and it didn't phase him but I think it will be different when he's behind the trigger

I'm running the Blackpoint AIWB we stock for now. Tier 1 Concealment is building me one of their axis holsters once they get their mold setup.

I'm actually selling a P226 LDC if anyone is interested. They're fairly rare and we built very few. I just run striker guns almost exclusively and just went under contract to finally buy a place. It's just collecting dust in my safe.

Daniel Defense VP gave Academy a big middle finger:
As you know we take our partnership with our stocking retailers very seriously. We are committed to serving and supplying them at the highest level and expect our retailers to have that same level of commitment to our brand and our industry. Unfortunately, Academy Sports has made a corporate decision, in the wake of the recent terrorist attack, to remove all MSRs from their website and in-store displays. Academy Sports has communicated that they intend to continue to sell the MSR category of firearms without displaying or advertising them publicly. As a prominent MSR brand, Daniel Defense cannot support decisions that are completely contrary to the values of our company and industry. Therefore, as of today, June 16th, I request that you place Academy Sports on a Do Not Sell list for all Daniel Defense products and terminate any shipments to their stores or distribution centers. It is unfortunate that we have to make this decision, but it is clearly the right thing to do for our brand, our industry and our constitutional right. Thank you for your support.
I bought a DD shortly thereafter

My boys started shooting a 10/22 when they were about 6 (could’ve been 7, don’t remember). We shoot on private land so we use fruit, clays, etc for targets. It’s more fun for them than shooting paper.

I'll have some rounds on it this week or next. I don't get to shoot nearly as much as I like. Most of my shooting comes from classes unfortunately. Once we get settled into our new place it will get easier.

And I don't get anything out of deceiving anyone. I just picked up my personal gun today so no rounds on it yet. That said I've put around 2k rounds down range on these across roughly a dozen guns at different stages of the engineering process. I've never fired one I wouldn't trust to carry. That said, the initial revision at launch was more finicky until it had a couple hundred rounds on it. Those did not like cheap ammo, and especially did not like to be shot with unlocked wrists. A couple spring changes however made all the difference.

Jake's on them . . . progressives have seen to it that gender is fluid, so all you have to do is identify as a female when purchasing and when in possession.
