Also, last night when I was out at dinner my pupper got sick. First time he's made a mess in the house in the 5 months or so he hasn't been kenneled. Little guy yakked 4 or 5 times, and I'll cut the details there. Ended up throwing out a rug and blanket. Poor little guy thought he was in big trouble. Took a little pep talk to get his ears perked up like normal. Seems to be doing fine today, just a bit more tired than normal.

The dog I have now gives a scare every couple of days, swallowing socks, chewing up and swallowing landscaping lights, etc. It’s shock value is kind of wearing off, nothing really surprises me anymore. Cleaning up $hit in the yard and finding popped balloons, matching socks, marbles etc. I think he could get a job in the circus or as a contraband smuggler....

If you're getting a .50 BMG, your options are pretty much limited to the Barrett. You might want to look into a semi-auto 300 WinMag as an alternative (Nemo Omen). It's about 6k, is also ridiculous, and you have more places to take advantage of it than a 50 BMG.

Some pistols just don't work for some people. The Glock 19 is a pistol I HATE. Not because it is a bad pistol, but because I suck horribly with it. Always have and have no idea why. Just a slightly different design and I am dead on balls accurate.
That is why I always just recommend people go out and shoot till they find something they like.

I never did buy myself a 17...I think I would if concealment was never going to be a concern though. I have a case or two through one and it's a good shooter. But not as good as a VP9 (maybe not as good as an FNS or PPQ either)

My point though is small changes can drastically impact a person's accuracy. Generally best to not rule out guns due to personal preference reasons.

i suppose il clarify somewhat on the 19 vs 17...
they both feel damn perfect in my hand, neither grip feels better or worse to me. maybe slightly different but great. shooting them feels identical too (imagine that right?) shooting them side by side, i really cant tell any difference in weight or recoil.
i prefer the way the 17 looks over the 19, but functionality wise they are practically identical.
