I don’t like Trump’s record of infidelity and generally avoid trusting people who cheat on their spouse, but who else was running that hasn’t? Also, the erosion of marriage is having an enormously negative impact on society. That isn’t even debateable at this point.

So Trump had an affair with a professional skank nearly a decade before he took office, and liberals are losing their minds over it. Meanwhile, basically every liberal I've ever met worships Bill Clinton despite his various sex scandals, including the Monica Lewinsky fiasco from when he was actually in office. That is hypocrisy of the first order.

Interesting response from conservatives that constantly condemn liberal morality.

Hypocrisy rampant... oh, but I suppose that was liberals as well. Nothing to see here.

Ah whataboutism. You can't defend President Trumps behavior so you bring something up totally unrelated to the thread? Digging deep bro.

What censorship? What anti freedom? I'll be more than happy to discuss.

As an independent myself, very well said.

It's especially ridiculous that these rumors are being sensationalized as much by so-called "progressives" in particular who will not only happily support things comparatively more salacious, but outright applaud them.

There are far more pressing matters to be concerned about with the president in thepresentas opposed to some sliz he saddled up with on the side in the past. Even Trump's twitter account is more relevant than spankgate over here.

And if peopledidonly vote based upon personality or identity, then Hillary might have won since she has enough of each to cover most of the population.

He’s not a conservative....not even remotely. How do braindead ****s like you get to high reps? My 5 year old niece has a stronger grasp on political terminology than an autistic left winged high rep miscer. Really puts things into perspective doesn’t it

That being said, conservatives would pick him over Hillary because his foreign trade and economic decisions, as well as his immigration policies are more in favor of conservatism than hillaries naive world order perspective. The truth is the farther left you lean the more naive you are, the farther right you lean the more selfish you are. Nothing else can be said to generalize the two

im not trying to defend his behavior. my comment was a quip to illustrate how the political parties have changed, in response to your comment about the same topic.

it was more so aimed at the left in my country, but i assure you that the left in my country isnt too far off from the left in your country, ideologically speaking. the only difference is that in canada the ruling government has a lot more power than the ruling government in america, and the ruling party atm is the liberal party.

our "liberal" party is stifling our freedom of speech by legally requiring us to call certain people by certain pronouns, that may sound innocuous but small steps eventually take you a great distance... also academic speakers are being forcefully stripped of speaking platforms because they have a differing opinion to the "opinion of the day".

im not a history major, but i dont think these things are what the "liberal" left has been historically known for.

Most Americans aren't looking for moral leadership. Trump never once claimed to be a saint. IDGAF about Trump's personal life, just like I didn't give a fuk about Obama's personal life.
Most of us just want a leader who is effective and working in our interests. Nobody can plausibly deny that Trump has gotten a lot done for conservative interests so far.

Neither party historically looks like what they did. I can also absolutely agree that the SJW movement on the left is a problem and is an unfortunate minority that has diseased the party.

I think President Trumps action absolutely hurt his ability to lead, as he has to spend time deflecting, defending or denying. It also creates personality conflicts with those he needs to work with, both democrats and republicans.

Good for you.
So what aspect of his morality would be aligned with conservatives considering that those that voted for him should be quiet concerning said morals?

Assuming you’re as stupid as every other left leaner, you’re trying to point out the hypocrisy of right leaners insulting the morality of Obama to his supporters, which would be an intelligent argument if you didn’t worship the ground he walked on and actually didn’t go into denial anytime something negative was said. You can see all over this thread anyone who seems to lean right is perfectly aware of the negative aspects of his presidency and character. See a nice things about being selfish is that you’ll own the negative things about something regarding your interests because in your view the pros outweigh the cons. Unfortunately for Democrats, you seem to associate your votes on an emotional level, so you become blind to the negative aspects of your candidates and lash out at any criticism. Not that you notice that you do any of these things because you’re too busy being stupid and republican bashing to actually develop some knowledgeability of politics outside of your reddit threads

Also not venting just enjoy shutting down stupid chitheads like you when you take a small step into the political scene with 0 knowledge

it isnt an 'unfortunate minority' though.. a lot of the fundamental policies that both the liberals in canada and the democrats in america campaign on today are geared towards social justice, as opposed to before when they were geared towards helping Joe the carpenter; at least from what i gather, maybe im wrong, and i invite you to change my mind..

and to be fair to trump, he has done quite a bit in his time in office (whether you agree with what hes done or not). so it hasnt had that drastic of an impact on his ability.

Im just saying. I had a choice between trump and her. I chose trump because at least his policy was good and he was a better option. Morality of the president is important, but i would say that between the two, getting your dick wet with a porn star a decade ago is a lot less of an issue than jeopardizing national security, putting hits out on people, having ties to a ****phole ring, and having a rapist husband. Hes not a perfect candidate and nobody says he is, but given what we had to work with, hes still way ahead when it comes to morality.

Actually, they would. Of course, if this Obama, they'd want to crucify him. Hell, there was an entire legal and media circus on whether or not Clinton had his dick sucked by a fat intern back in the day, although a lot of miscers are too young to remember what it was actually like. Double standards are a common thing in politics.

In the area I am from, I have seen absolutely zero to do with SJW activism (though I know it exists).
and to be fair to trump, he has done quite a bit in his time in office so far (whether you agree with what hes done or not). so it hasnt had that drastic of an impact on his ability.
I think he has done what he could to fulfill his promises to his supporters in many instances. I think it could have done more if he wasn't dodging and deflecting as much.

Trump has the same ties to the ****phile ring, accusations of rape etc etc. Sure, Trump isn't as scandalous as Clinton (I guess) but I would question to what degree.

I understand you don't believe Trump is an ideal candidate, but FFS if morality is an important quality in a POTUS, why say it doesn't matter or defend the actions? You can support the POTUS while still be critical of his actions.

When it comes down to it fukking a pornstar a decade ago is pretty far down on my list of fukks i have to give about pretty much anything. He was a billionaire reality star, nobody is surprised by this and nobody cares. The guy was not a politician putting up a wholesome front. Hes extremely obnpxious and vulgar and everyone who voted for him knew exactly what they were voting for. If he killed someone or did something extreme yeah, itd be a bad thing and id care but I didnt even care when clinton got a blow job IN the oval office, I dont know many people who cared. Fukking someone is a victimless crime assuming its consentual. It doesnt really matter when it comes down to it. It doesnt effect his policies, it doesnt effect his public image because it was already in the realm of something hed do so nobody was surprised. When it comes down to it he was still the better option, theyre bad options but at least you know about all of his issues up front. He cant really be smeared because he wasnt a good person to begin with. Clinton on the other hand did present herself as a good wholesome person. Id rather the guy whos dirty laundry is already out there than someone who is deceptive and fake. It was literally the douche vs turd sandwich episode from south park in real life.
