happy friday brahs!
Happy Friday brahs, it's that time of the week again, and I for one am happy to see it. TGIF for sure. Not quite sure what i'm up to this weekend...Probably nothing. It's definitely a "wing it" kinda of weekend. Whatever you brahs are up to, have a great time, be safe, and have a couple drinks for ya boy.

My new years resolution was to start cooking more, and I really haven't held up to it. I've started cooking more than I did before, but not as much as I'd like, and you can only make the same thing so often. So what are some good, easy-ish recipes that I can incorporate into a personal cookbook of sorts.

Inb4 Redraider and Mrbourbon take over this thread.
das fukin it, the wing-it weekends are always fun. I've been trying to cook more as well, considering i've lived the past 3-4 years on almost entirely fast food, barring family sunday dinners. brb mcdonalds for breakfast/lunch, jack in the box for dinner. and yet somehow i lost 30 pounds over that period...now here i am eating clean and bulking and it's a bish
Slow cookers are goat for making simple recipes that are delicious. Can make a ton of food with little work too.

Redraider def has a thread out there with a few hnng recipes. I'll see if I can find it.

EDIT: Found it...https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...post1540591161
tfw got slow cooker from ex's mom as a Xmas present when we were together
One of my favorite favorite things to make is black bean burgers

Ingredients:
-Garlic
-Matchstick carrots
-1 minced onion
-1 tblspn cornstarch
-1 tblspoon warm water
-Sriracha sauce
-Chili powder
-Cumin
-Salt
-Black pepper
-1 cup bread crumbs
-3/4 cup flour
-1 can of black beans )Actually, any type of beans you have will work for dis, but black beans are my favorite!)

Cooking instructions:
-Preheat oven to 350
-Mash beans in a bowl, then add carrots, onion, and garlic. Mix all dem together
-Whisk all seasonings, cornstarch, flour, and water in a separate bowl. When finished, pour it into bowl that you mashed beans in
-Pour bread crumbs into bowl with seasonings, beans, and all the other stuff
-Add more flour if needed, but the mixture should be sticky to the touch. I usually use 1 cup total of flour
-Use hands to form mixture into burger shape

Oven instructions:
-Place burgers on aluminum foil tray
-Set timer for 15 minutes in oven, then flip burgers, and put them in for another 15 minutes
-Serves four people.

Looks pretty much like dis, minus photographic lighting

minimal recipes here, cuz see above about eating fast food for so many years.

one staple I always go with (gonna sound real juvenile, pls no judgement) is scrambled eggs.

crack 3-4 in a pan lubed up with EVOO (extra virgin olive oil, i'm p liberal with it tbh) and scramble em like you normally do. Sprinkle some mesquite seasoning on top, and toss on a bit of goat cheese. Consume. Simple, but hhnnggg.

Weekend plans gonna consist of getting absolutely shtty with the boys again, as per usual.

Hola amigos.

This week has been a horror to say the least. I actually went off on a contractor at work. In a meeting, with my boss, another manager and the contractor. It was time to put them in their place. Said contractor has been backtracking and behaving since then. I think we're gonna make it with this project.

Easy chicken recipe:

2 lbs chicken breast - chopped into medium cubes
1/2 tbls lemon pepper seasoning
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tbls garlic powder
1/4 tsp chilli pepper (if you want it hot)
half lemon, juiced

fry pan + EVOO = saute chicken

Either eat it over a salad or add julianed bell peppers + onions for a mini stir fry
Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.

2/17/15 - Dunk Tank Results: 15% bf (Omron said 18.6%) - 123.4 lbs LBM

Mole de nuez

6pcs cooked chicken (leg, thigh & breast)
5 chile anchos, dried and de-seeded and devainedSpoiler!
1 cup of pecans
1 cup of prunes
1 liter of chicken broth
1 cinnamon stick
3 aromatic cloves
3 black pepper balls
Salt to taste
Pork lard (about 1cup)

In a pan fry the chiles with a couple spoons of lard, set aside, then brown the nuts, set aside and last the prunes add lard as necessary if the pan gets too dry, once this ingredients are browned put the peppers in the blender with the cinnamon stick, the cloves, pepper, salt and a cup of chicken broth, blend until smooth. Add the sauce from the blender to the pan with a bit of lard and cook in low and stir occasionally. Grind the roasted nuts in a container and add 1 cup of broth, stir this mix into the pan, stirring until well mixed. Add the prunes add 1cp of broth to the blender and blend until smooth, add to the pan stirring until blended, add salt to taste, let it simmer for a bit (about 5-8min) then add chicken and cover, add remainder of broth if chicken isn't covered with sauce, cover the pan and let it simmer in low heat for about 10min to let the mole impregnate the chicken. Serve with white rice.

Holy translation batman. Trying to get accurate measurements from my mom and not the a little bit or some of that was work. Lol next I'm getting Chiles rellenos de queso.

It should look something like this (except we don't garnish with ajonjoli)

That's what I always thought, but I remember the back and forth threads between Texas brah and Northern Brah arguing over how to make it, so I assumed all Texans were idiots and omitted beans from Chili. Are you going to another music festival this weekend? How's Archer doing? Haven't seen too many snaps of him lately.

The bread is more of central and southern Mexico, we are from Chihuahua and for us is rice or flour tortillas to the side. I told her you'd give her a high-five and she smiled and did the air five (sooo lame)

Mom's are so charmingly lame, lol. Your variation seems so much easier to make, other variations have like 350 fuking ingredients. I will probably actually attempt to make yours, and it will be so good I will be considered honorary Mexican.

This is his last week in Obedience classes. It's helped him quite a bit, but he's just so energetic he needs a release. So I think we're going to enroll him in the next level of courses, and introduce him to lure coursing or some other agility work. And Nope, dude literally just jumps off. No coordination, nothing smooth, just hops off like a bull in a China shop. He's probably one of the least graceful dogs I've seen. Dude has no concept of his size at all.

Is this brunch going to be a bunch of stuck up sloots?

Chiles rellenos de queso

6 anahaim chiles roasted, peeled and devained and deseeded
Spoiler!

3 eggs (separated)
1/2lbs of mozzarella cheese cut in sticks
Oil or lard

Stuff the peppers with cheese and set aside
Whisk the egg whites until soft peaks and then add yolks one at the time to keep fluffy consistency, keep incorporating until well mixed. Carefully dip the pepper until covered in egg mixture put in oiled pan in medium heat add a bit more of egg mix to the top of the chiles and carefully flip to the other side and cook until brown on both sides. You can serve this with rice and beans or make it into a burrito.

This is my favorite food ever, and super easy, do recommend.

Alright, I'll throw some KETO recipes out there.

1.) Meatzza
-1lb lean ground beef, atleast 93/7. Make into two balls, and flatten as thing as possible (like a crust) Broil in oven for 5 min, remove and pay grease off. Put back in for 3 minutes.
- remove tray with meat, and top with whatever you like. I did Raos Marinara sauce (it's super low carb), cheese, diced peppers and pepperoni.
- put back in oven for 5 minutes til cheese melts.

2.) Low Carb Stromboli
- Mix together 4 tbsp almond flour, 3 tbsp coconut flour, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning in a bowl.
- Put 1.25 cups of mozzarella cheese in a bowl microwave for one minute. Remove, stir around and microwave for 10 second intervals until completely melted into a dough.
- mix both bowls together with one egg and form into the Stromboli dough
- put parchment paper on a baking trap. Put dough on tray, and piece of parchment over top. Roll with rolling pin until flat.
- fill with 4oz ham, and 3oz cheese.
- fold dough over around all sides to make the boli
- bake for 18-20 min at 400

The only swear word used was "donkey."

I don't cuss IRL. At least not in front of people. When I'm alone, I do sometimes.

Is this brunch going to be a bunch of stuck up sloots?
yeah archer was the same way, he's calmed down a lot tho since his true puppy years. Charlie's like 1.5 years right? or 2? still got some exuberance left in him. You should check out flyball, or dock diving if he likes water.

His paperwork says 2 years, but I don't know about that. He just acts way too young. I don't know if he likes water, but he does have webbed feet, so I'm going to assume he will.
