What were some household tips or tricks that your SO didn't know about that they taught you when you lived together, or vice versa?


Some my wife didn't know:

> my wife had no idea that if you close the shower curtain after showering, it will dry and never get moldy. She just thought that was life and bought a new shower curtain every 6-12 months
> flip your pillowcase inside out, put your hands in it at the corners and hold onto the pillow, and reverse the pillowcase onto the pillow. >>> stuffing your pillow In a pillow case
> putting a wooden spoon over boiling water helps prevent boiling over.
> If you rinse your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher, they always come out 100% clean and you never have to clean the dishwasher (lol @ not knowing that)

One I didn't know:

>brb never thought to stack the same Tupperware inside each other. Always put a lid on every single one of them till I saw my wife do it like this:

ohh, and if your dirty dishes don't come out clean your dishwasher is under performing and/or you might have low water pressure. Most actually use the food particles to clean the rest of the dishes and get drained out in the final rinse cycle.

If you can rely on your ability, you don't have to worry about reliability.
