I'm sure hes still strong af benching normally as well if he wanted cool points for a greater ROM but he lifts for a specific purpose and that is competing.

The guy doing the lift i guess gets props for technically “being within the rules” but if i ever saw someone doing that IRL i’d tell them to get the **** out of my gym until they learned proper form. Doing all kinds of retarded gymnastics to give yourself a 2” ROM is simply cheating in my book, within some bull**** rules or not.
What do your lifts look like? I keep hearing you preach the ideal form, but not seeing what you're putting up in terms of numbers (that you could verify) in terms of your credibility.

And for the record, I'd be a hell of a lot more proud of myself for benching 275 with proper form than 550 huge cheat reps. Most people would be embarrassed to be caught on video doing what this jackass did. The point is strength, not coming up with some ridiculous leverage technique to get a #. Isn't that the point of powerlifting? To determine strength? Doing a bench of 2" ROM with a huge arch is not a demonstration of strength, but a demonstration of a ridiculous cheat techniques.
