Also to clarify OP said its a birthday party not a frat party. They're different to me. Birthday party puts me in mom thought mode. Lol
Also no ones going to complain that there's food there. It may not all get eaten but then you just have leftovers for the weekend. I just don't think you can go wrong by having some good food even if it's a bunch of pizzas.

lol @ food, dessert, card against humanity. maybe in a small get-together, definitely not in 'the ultimate party'. Don't even call it that ever again as its bound to be anti-climatic and sounds gay af
Its all about the people that come so that should be your first priority, get lots of cool people to join. That and alcohol equals a good time no matter what. But otherwise serving alcohol fancy ways, like kegs, jello shots, keeping bottles in a cases filled with ice, anything with tap. Also beer pong and maybe some cards for drinking games so people get their buzz on faster. Having ice cubes available is always appreciated

Had a friend make that mistake and he ended up heating frozen pizzas till 4 am lol (the food he served disappear quick and he had to stock up frozen pizzas quickly). the secret to any good party is just copious alcohol and loud music to convince people it actually was good, in practice most house parties are ****.

Man drinks are easy:
- beer
- I think in your situation I'd stick with beer
- possibly bottle of wodka, bottle of jack and some coke to mix with (me and my mates always drink wodka with this, since you then only have calories from the alcohol)
Woman drinks however..:
- white wine (NO red)
- and maybe

- malibu + **** to mix with
