If you gross $45k, annually...huge congrats!

You’re way above average! The average single tax filing for people in the US is just under $35k...

A lot of really dumb chit gets said about money on these forums so it’s nice to remind brahs...especially the young ones...you’re doin well and should be positive and keep pushing to improve.

I used to think the $60k a made at my old job was low until you look at numbers and realize it’s absolutely not. I’m very fortunate to have gotten a chance at making even more and know what it takes to do that so again...the money threads you young guys see here are mostly garbage.

Be happy knowing you’re ahead of the game. I’ll bet if we looked at numbers you’re way above average in the gym is well...keep it up!

strong cope, OP.

the average guy is making 35K/yr plus his undeclared income, driving with dealer plates, lifting at his buddy's condo gym, etc.

That's a somewhat misleading way to look at it, as stagnant income for much of the population is exactly why the middle class is shrinking. Unless you live somewhere where the cost of living is quite low, $35k is barely getting by, especially once you take out taxes.

That said, you're right that people should have a positive where they're looking to improve instead of having a defeatist one.

Good thing every miscer is an absolute prodigy and in the top 1% of their field right out of college so they don’t have to worry about it.

At least that’s what I read.

True stroy.

Brb miscers think you need 250k a year to live in a 1 bedroom condo.

If your banking 50k a year (single) then you can live an awesome life.
Habit is powerfull and custom can Kill.

That’s why I laugh. I work mainly with engineers or different levels in my new job, everyday and have gotten to be close to a few. One works for one of the largest food manufacturers in the world and I asked what he started with for pay as he is now 7 years into the gig, is a project engineer with two degrees...he started at a company in DC making $46k a year and worked his way up to where he is now. Shrug...I cannot seem to find the guys that make $200k the day after school ends...

The fukin hilarious part about this is that if you look at these people's avis, they were clearly taken in a trailer or slum bathroom. I'd be surprised if the average miscer even had ANY income at all.

That's because it accounts for bumfukk nowheresville where the cost of living is dirt cheap.

If you live in any decent sized city $45k is borderline poverty.

Seattle. It's not even an "expensive" city like NYC or SF but rent and utilities alone would burn through the majority of that $45k.

I seriously don't know how bruhs in NYC do it honestly unless they are living in the ghetto areas.
