You don't possess the entire internet when using it, so that's not an accurate comparison. The potential issue here is that the full blockchain needs to exist and be possessed either by miners or by individuals in mining pools. Tainting a blockchain with illegal / harmful crap is a definite issue and seems like a major flaw in the technology, one that won't be easy to iron out

I want my 1080ti graphics cards dirt cheap when the market is flooded by them sooner or later. $600+ for a mid tier card is outrageous right now. Mid tier used to be $250.

I think a lot of what is holding btc up is how hard it is to get your money out of it. When these crashes happen people can't just take all their money out of it, majority of the wallets and traders only allow you to trade btc to cash at about 14k a week.

I told all the stupid coincels that the introduction of BTC futures on the CME was the death of cryptos. Commodities only go to the Mercantile Exchange for one reason, and that is to control prices. Meanwhile, I'll keep on banking all kinds of money on my long term BTC shorts. Everytime BTC gets above 10k I short the forward month.
