Why do Mike Novogratz and the Winklevoss twins think otherwise then regarding more regulations?

Futures is largely irrelevant, you could short and long Bitcoin before it was on CBOE and CME btw.. More adoption will be inevitable and the price will rise regardless of what's going on with futures.

Vemma is still running and followed the exact same compensation plans as other companies like Amway, Herbalife, which are still running legally and the owner has created another company called Bode Pro, which is Vemma but just expanded on its fitness line.

I do agree though, the whale's manipulating the price is pretty frustrating at times, makes it extremely hard to read and time the market.

It makes it difficult for me to say it has legitimacy when i see these obvious games, and it leads me to believe it will pop, and regrow in a more transparent, less scammy way.

It will be both. I think it's already a very successful store of value, so its valuation as simply being the store of value crypto can put it in the trillions of market cap, even potentially 10+ trillion.

In order for it to be a successful currency, it will need to solve its scaling and transaction fees. It will, but that will still take a little more time.

Once it does, you will have a perfect currency system. One that is finite, immutable, easily divisible, no fees (or so small it's irrelevant), instantaneous, transnational, and in complete control of the individual that will work with no down time perfectly every time. And, every person who has an internet connection and a $20 cell phone will have access to it, for free. Anyone will be able to send to anyone without the permission of a government or 3rd party taking a cut. That is a HUGE deal for the majority of the world that doesn't have ANY access to financial services.

I still see it having more similarities to gold than fiat. I think both will exist in the future, there are many limitations to a deflationary currency.
