The world isn't any different than it was thousands of years ago, we just continue to pretend humans are born "good."

I get different people have different lifestyles and purposes, but the point of this post was to prove that having kids at a younger age will hold you back in today's society and economy.

Kids can be such little annoying crapheads, and I want to learn to love myself before I try to raise and love a kid.

Spending time and money on children will hold you back from society and the economy? I don't even understand what you're trying to say.

Not sure. My situation it's working out.
Started having kids late 20s, been makin 6 figs since mid 20s, married and we do a ton. I took a risk by leaving a giant global company of 80,000+ employees to be part of a startup where I can build an empire. I still gym, have date nights, vacation - wife and I went to Ireland for two weeks last year while parents watched the kiddos. Next up will be a family vaca to disneyworld.
I'm turning 31 this year.

Here's the deal with today's gen... they aren't prepared. Period. Pre-90's, kids moved out of the house around 16-18 years old, striking it out on their own because back then, it was possible to do so. Hell, in the early 90's I paid out-of-pocket tuition costs at a state university working for min-wage full-time in the summer, part-time in the Fall/Spring semester. That was making $4.25/hr back then. In-state tuition cost for the University of Arizona was under $1000/semester. 2br/1ba apartment was $425/mo. Was cheaper to live off-campus than dorm.
Today's gen couldn't boil their own water. Also, since instant gratification of pretty much everything at their fingertips, they have no work ethic, they are narcissistic since social media tech, live in their parent's basement until their early 30's, me me me attitude, SJW because of "dem feels", no real perspective of the world, the list goes on.
I feel sorry for any kid born in this day and age to young parents. They don't have their own chit together, how are they suppose to raise little ones? I see more and more grandparents raise their grand-children because the birth parents can't or flat out refuse to raise them.

You definitely can't be selfish when you have kids. I want to start putting $5k per year into an education account for her. $5k per year to dump into an education account is no fun.

Also I would not generalize that millennials don't have a good work ethic like your generation does. We have a DIFFERENT work ethic, with a more entrepreneurial approach to problems and projects. Since we're really the first generation to grow up with cellphones and advanced microprocessing technology, we have to think ahead and in different ways.

If that means having kids at 35 rather than 25(different environments, financial start in life),then it is the right way for some people.
Don't get me wrong, kids dont have to ruin one's goals if they are strategically planned. But you pointing at every brah here doesn't want it until later as if they are a meathead who wants to live everyday like Zyzz is fukken pathetic.
Jeez, on the misc everything is either black or white and not the 1231231 shades of grey in-between that correspond to an individual's situation.
All of you who set up some rules on what to do or by what age to do something without taking into account all the variables from individual to individual that influence this ----> you need to NOT have kids so you can get filtered out of the gene pool. dedsrs

You're defending yourself for wanting to do something I support you doing.
You dumbasses talking about overpopulation, at this current time, have no idea what you're talking about.
Chill out before you pop a blood vessel.
Year Population
1750 700 million
1804 1 billion
1850 1.2 billion
1900 1.6 billion
Today? 7.5b.
This is over the course of a few hundred years. The earth is billions of years old. LOL if you don't have the processing power in that skull of yours to recognize the trend.
Drive in any heavily populated metro during rush hour and see if you think more people are needed.
