Gonna get on mobile when they add controller support. Probably see that before the game makes it to PS4. Is it still running like complete ass on Xbox? I know it's a bit toned down but seems like those running the mobile version through PC or Android to TV say it runs very smoothly.

Ive only been playing two days and I haven't had any major issues, the only thing once was when I was on wifi and I got a little laggy and a friend lagged out, crashed the car we were in, into a wall and we all died lol

Maybe he just can't drive?

All I see are comments about how sad it is the mobile version runs better than the Xbox version so I guess that's still the case. Still blows my mind the Xbox version got released running 15fpsnat times, guess I should see if it's gotten any better but I refuse to buy an Xbox just for pubg.

For me, a new pubg player, the game is more than playable and def enjoyable to the point where I can see myself sitting there for hours if it wasn't for my wife nagging me to do something else with my time.

I know the complete game is far off and hopefully one day they complete it, but from what I hear the state that it is in now is much better than it was last year.

Yea, seems like it's still ass from what Google tells me. I don't do PC, as it's phahgot race. But I may load the mobile version to my TV and see if I can get a controller working. If not, my wait for pubg continues, lol.

It's amazing. I have a high end Android TV and was gonna get it going on that but no controller support right now shot down my dreams. There is some app, Octopus, to use controllers with android touch games and you can custom map but it has some sketchy permissions like sms access so I abandoned that. They should have exclusive outfits and stuff for people who win.

In addition to getting the most points, they should also reward you with exclusive shirts, pants, hats, masks, etc.

The best part of my 1 win so far was the excitement winning on my second day playing, but somewhat underwhelming since there is really no reward except on the stat sheet.

Thoughts?

I play this on Xbox way more than I care to admit, but the game is playable. Very rarely do I ever crash anymore. My team mates often crash while driving, but these seem to be the people who aren't running an SSD. Those guys also don't load buildings in quick enough in the beginning of rounds. I have an SSD and tend to load the buildings before I hit the ground, HDD guys have to wait another 30 seconds in the cities.

That said, this game has a looooooong way to go on xbox, it could use a ton of optimization. Also, there is no need for ****ing clothing to be littered around the map. The looting system on xbox is ****, so we are often picking up bright red shirts and boots on accident.

it does run like chit on xbox but its still fun. brb framerate dropping middle of the game (below 30fps), nothing loads in for a solid minute, you land on a roof and get stuck "in" it and cant move. thankfully everyone sucks on console so its not a big deal.

mobile > xbox

edit: the new looting change is trash. instead of "X" to move guns/armor into your inventory like weapons and ammo etc... you have to hit "A" and pick a slot. its weird and i liked how it initially was, way more.

My best friend was ranting for weeks how its the closest thing to socom 2. He sleeps like 4 hours a night because all he does is work and play this game.

I finally caved after quitting ***nite and I am hooked.

Cant wait for the finished version, an upgrading to an SSD since I have the original xbox1.

Nope. The aiming on xbox is probably the worst part, it's complete **** but you adjust. This would've been the game to just allow native M/KB support for everyone, because the developer put zero effort into controller optimization.

This is the main reason I prefer third person in this game. The close quarters combat in 3rd person really makes it feel like SOCOM, and all these kids on consoles these days are TERRIBLE up close. The SSD really helps.

also the FOV on xbox is complete **** in 1st person, I feel claustrophobic because of how narrow it is.

I picked this game up yesterday and literally have had zero fun playing....I’m sure I am doing something wrong.

I land, spend five minutes looking for a decent weapon in a building, settle for a piece of crap weapon (usually a revolver) and immediately spend the rest of the game running to the center of the map trying to stay inbounds. While running I’m killed with someone who found a sniper rifle instead of a pistol. I have yet to see a single player in the five to ten games I’ve played..what am I doing wrong?

Where do you normally land? Try to land somewhere more centralized even if you avoid the big cities to give yourself some time to get a decent weapon before getting into a fight. Try landing at the apartments or somewhere similar. Also try using the terrain to avoid being out in the open so you don't get sniped easily and chill close enough to the edges where you don't get screwed over because you have to run in the middle of a gunfight.

I typically just pick a cluster of buildings and start rummaging around. I will try to hit the center of the map, good suggestion.

I’ve done my best to use cover but regularly get nailed by someone sniping from a truck bed that I can’t see and is behind me...

I'd be okay with that if it were based on your ranking.

Every time the rankings get reset, my squad cleans up for a few matches. Then we inevitably end up ranking in the top 0.2% and it gets a lot harder.

Give me something for staying in the top 1% over 50 matches or something. But just winning? It gets hard when you're playing streamers and pros.

try to land everytime in a few cities so u learn the route and u can loot and kill people more easily. i suggest you to land in pochinki and rozhok in erangel or pozo/leones in miramar. Play in third person so you can learn how to move/cover etc..

and play with a friend, is much better

Google some of the best landing spots and try those out. They will be highly populated likely though. However, some you can get to even when the plane isn't near them just don't dive when you get out of the plane and go more horizontal to get to them. Some people like to get to the ground quick and won't try to get to places that are far away.

One of my new favorite spots on Erangel is the Underground Bunkers. Tons of high powered weapons down there, lot's of times level 3 backpacks and helmets. Google the Underground Bunkers location so you can find out where it is on the map. Careful though it's also heavily populate if the plane fly directly over it.

Edit: Also, you do know you can drive vehicles right? If you are running out of time hop in a vehicle and fly inside the zone but ditch it right away as it attracts people to you.
