I made one in 2016 to post vacation pics and haven't posted since. But the 8 or so posts I have are cooler than 99% of people's instagram feeds.

Created an IG simply for posting vacation pics like some peeps in here, never took it too seriously but it does become addictive when you start getting attention from strangers.

I recently got hooked up with a supplement company, and they made me a brand ambassador, free supplements is always good brahs IG does bring some rewards if you are good at it.

lol nice. Getting paid for a couple IG posts would be the dream.

If you're into a niche IG can be fun. I was using it to hit people up about festivals. If you're not, then it's probably not worth scrolling through the same 15 different photos that everyone takes.

These kids coming up think that they can just get student loans for everything without realizing that paying 1k a month for the next 20 to 30 years is more than most houses. They have yet to realize that the only people living the American dream are the people selling it.

It's interesting that consumerism is such a huge facet of our social being now.

Much more convienient and non threatening platform to interact with strangers. Especially for how easy it is to use and potential business opportunities to further your brand/company. To post a picture and send a few messages to keep up with others than take the time to search for people on FB.

Everyone sees it different though.

Social media goes against the natural order of things. Until very recently, we went through different phases of life (schools, relationships, jobs, moving etc..) and moved on. Social media has created these superficial connections to people we don`t care about and who don`t care about us. It`s like we`re just dragging relics of our past around with us.

I ditched ******** a year ago and never looked back. Like a big weight lifted off my shoulders. No other social media for me.

I think IG is cool because if you have a hobby/sport you're into you can follow the best of the best and your feed could be just what you are into if you want. Plus it's kind of like an archive for posting lifts/whatever you like to do. For example, I like that I can follow elite lifters and my news feed can be straight heavy lifting. You don't really get that with other forms of social media.

I guess that makes sense, but I absolutely loathe people on FB that constantly post pictures of stuff they're doing and their selfies because "LOOK AT ME" is annoying. I have always thought IG was like that and I just have absolutely zero interest in that so I never made one.

Same here. FB actually pisses me off because the of superfluous stupidity that is my friends list and I'm too lazy to remove 90% of them.

No.

It's a huge waste of time, it's addicting, and it's just people trying to one up each other like always. Wouldn't be embarrassed in the slightest to say I don't have it, its just like "**** it" and judging someone for not having it would be immature really.

It seems that the new big thing in PUA community is the ‘Instagram game’ in order to attract women.

But, if you don’t have a popular account on IG, I can’t understand how you can attract girls…

Anyway, here is the link from RSD Video which gives some useful insights about the Insta game…

Had one then deleted it after i realized the only reason i even got one in the first place was a deep-seated attempt for validation & attention AND to, potentially, score some dates because my own social life was not fulfilling enough.

i use IG for my band/music, but 90% of my friends use it for personal pics so it's a good way to keep in touch with them. I use Twitter to share my music, network and follow other musicians/producers/etc. social media is a good tool to use if you have a creative passion/hobby. it's a bit pointless you have no friends/life tho.

when i travel i post hella photos of the places i go to, but when i'm at home most of the year? hardly any posts unless i go somewhere cool like a concert or festival. I also get a lot of likes/comments on my pictures, and i have almost a thousand followers.

Just depends on who you are and what you do. since most miscers don't leave their rooms then it's pointless for you guys to have social media since your life revolves around going to the gym and miscing lol.

4 people I know have the same profile picture, in my mate's swimming pool. How pathetic do you have to be, going to another man's house and taking a picture in his pool so you can post it on IG... From what I have seen, people post **** that they legit never do, maybe once in a lifetime. brb hiking, brb personal indoor pool, brb driving an expensive car. I don't see any pictures of them playing wow though, which they play every single day.
IG is good for getting sloots though.

It's fuking pathetic and pointless unless you're marketing a product/job/human for $$$ Outside of the small % making a boatload it promotes nothing but horrific behavior and I see it as a red flag and point deduction. It's all the same NPC photo, captions, it's truly the definition of soulless vanity. No IG, my attention is now yours. I think there is a special place for anyone who brings up their IG statistics IRL or sees it as a important trait.

Just LMAO at anyone who thinks followers are any metric of popularity or success. You can buy followers, and some of the most pathetic people I see irl are the same ones constantly posting for validation and likes on social media.

Don't have instagram either, I just don't see a point. I have a ******** I barely use, and snapchat which I admit I do like.

Come to think of it, the most successful people I know (as students in university) rarely post on social media.
