That's cool and all, but his biggest businesses filed chapter 11 six times. I'll agree that he knows how to get over on people for personal gain. Not sure how that translates to an entire country, but it doesn't look too promising.

In the Art of the Deal, where does using a photo of a border fence being repaired PRIOR to the Omnibus signing and then tweeting that photo AFTER the signing and saying it's the wall he's promised being built fit into this? It's just pure BS and nothing but a campaign strategy. Dude's been campaigning since day 1 in office.

He bet on Atlantic City and lost due to wars and recessions. Atlantic City is currently a dump. The whole town went under.

Trump is a showman and bluffs his way to getting what he wants. Very few people call his bluff, but when they do they win. He's not a great intellectual or a real substance character, but he is instead a visionary that bulldozes his way to what he wants. It's not ideal but it's proven effective many times over.

Whether you like his tactics or not isn't my point; my point is that he's using these same tactics that he's used his whole life and everyone is freaking out like it's something new. Rather comical IMO.

its simple, the last labour report said unemployment is lowest that it has been since last 20 years (i forget) this means workers are hard to find-> wages go up to hire workers -> people have more money and spend more -> inflation goes up to regulate inflation the federal reserve increases interest rates -> suddenly people in debt cant pay their loans anymore and companies cant access cheap financing -> recession starts ....

Well yeah, everyone knows none of this is new - that's why people didn't vote for him. His hotels during the AC recession were the worst hit by significant number. Dude only knows how to rock when things are easy (and even then his hotels performed well under the average); when times are tough, he chits in a bucket.

Hahaha, well a short downturn would probably help with your investment portfolio down the road if the market recovers. I’d be a lot more worried if this happened a year or two before retirement. Anxiously awaiting the day when I have the capital to use when we are in a severe downturn.
