Yep that is unfortunately part of the game so you gotta make sure you have decent cover nearby. The part that makes me rage the most is how tough it seems to get a decent gun AND either a 4x or an 8x scope. If you don't murk a couple of players to grab their loot you typically can get screwed once you gotta leave town/run through more exposed parts of the map.

Okay boyo, here's what you do.

Island map: Land at the shelter. It is next to the Prison. You will have 1-3 people to deal with when you land here.



Land at the southern most entrance, this leads directly into the deepest part of the bunker and ensures there are not going to be anyone behind you that you do not know about (someone might land here too). There is a little shack next to this entrance. There is about a 90% chance you're getting some kind of rifle here.



Proceed to clear out the bunker one room at a time. There is a lot of cover and a lot of twists and turns so go slowly and use 3rd person to your advantage. You will likely go up the first set of stairs to find a room with no players and full of loot, but when you go to the right, you will probably meet someone in the small room or the next large bunker room.

I recommend this because its an easy way not to get shot in the back, and to familiarize yourself with spotting people and shooting them in a controlled environment. Enemies are only going to come from in front of you.

I'm about to land in bunker today, I haven't been down there yet.

Usually just land in a cluster of homes hoping for an M4.

New map is pretty fun. They updated it and now the first circle is there before you even drop. I hope they don't have that when it's officially released. Terrible idea.

What do you mean reducing it? It's not reducing, they just let you know where it's going to be before you even drop.

Doesnt matter much, the map is so small that u can drop outside circle and still have time to get decent loot and make it in before taking any serious dmg

I think not knowing where the circle is makes it more fun, but the map is so small so it doesn't really matter.

This was just beta testing. It's over now. I'm not sure what will happen once they release it.

I played about 5 rounds last night. Made it up to the top 10 three times, with a 2nd place once. The other two rounds I died nearly instantly because didn't really know what the new hot spots were. Not a bad map overall, will be much faster paced. I liked the layout and loot seemed to be pretty plentiful in most areas I was able to drop.

exactly... if you know ahead of time, its not random.

This way you can avoid a scenario where you drop somewhere that ends up on the opposite side of the map. Obviously more relevant in the larger maps.

I liked everything about the new map. Can land with a squad, wipe them, get fully geared, and be out searching for other fights in just a few minutes. Wouldn't hate to see a bigger map in the future where vehicles are more important but miramar was way too fking big.

IMO, if they go with a larger than a 8x8 map it needs to be double the players.

naw i meant bigger than the 4x4 but smaller than 8x8. like just big enough so vehicles are useful but not so big that it takes 5 minutes of driving just to get in the circle.

This is part of what makes the game interesting and fun. Changes your approach every time you land if you don't know where you have to go right away. Fuk having everyone know right off the bat, that almost eliminates the need for the circle in the first place.

that's kinda a part of the unpredictability of the game though, having to adapt constantly makes it so much fun, it adds a whole other dimension and not many games are the same so replayability is good too

Anyone playing mobile? I just sideloaded it on my Nvidia Shield TV and loving it. Really amazing for a Mobile game, probably runs better than Xbox version, lulz. Only complaint is graphics, says my device doesn't support Ultra HD or even HD when I try to select it, even though it's probably the highest end Android device made. Not sure if it's because the Nvidia Shield TV isn't supported or they need to change chit in the code but I hope it gets taken care of soon. Anyway, if you are playing mobile post, maybe we can squad up, hide in an attic and jerk each other off?

pretty sure that there was no acutal 'buff' applied to ak.. it always had its strengths and weaknesses

Can I get some tips for finals cirlces in solo.

Played a few games last night and got top 10 3 of the 6 times but my best was #4. Only chicken dinnered once in solo on my second day playing against bums, but now that im playing alot and matching up with my rank, Im having a hard time making my way to the circles and the storm closes in.
