I'm opposed to military action if it's a case of, "We want to bomb someone". There's a difference between wanting to use force, and having to use force. The Syria issue had to be addressed. IMO...there's still more to address there, and I'm hoping it is unfinished tbh.

This was nothing more than a dink measuring contest between USA and Russia. This happens all the time. Russia periodically flies bombers over European airspace as a game of chicken and to test their reaction time.

I thought twice about taking your post seriously given that I've seen so many chit posts or troll posts from you, but I'd like to engage what you're saying here about Iran.

To be clear: the negative media/propaganda campaign about Iran in general was unfortunately carried out because of the way the country was/is run, i.e., by the IRGC. And there are plenty of Iranians who are upset by that. In particular, that IRGC and their rich kids (IRGC made a lot of money in illicit activities, e.g., through controlling medicine sales and blaming the sky high prices and lack of medicine on 'American sanctions' which was nonsense) are living a completely excessive life, with impunity.

Anyone in their right mind knew that the average person in Iran was actually the culmination of a very rich history, which is partly why many countries in the Gulf hate Iran. Many countries in the Gulf are nothing but oil moguls, whereas Iran has rich history - great education - proper culinary tradition, etc., and of course it's easy to diminish that by using blanket media campaigns etc.

The reason why those media campaigns were carried out is because the sanctions against Iran reached a point where countries were trying to collapse Iran's economy - that's the context of the JCPOA. Unfortunately, sometimes that needs to be done in order to stop insane regimes, even if there is an impact on the civilian population. But anyone who has traveled through Iran or knows Iranian people knows that the story here is a very sad one.

You act as if we should 100% believe all governments in all matters. And I don't think Bush cared what was best for the nation, he cared about strategic and financial dominance for those he was in bed with. What would be great for the nation is to not have had so many resources sucked into a pointless war that only serves to act as a beacon of recruiting for muslims.
