I'm enjoying it.

I usually read autobiographies or history books, so these gave me a nice break from those. The first 2 books were good but this 3rd one is easily my favorite so far

The second half of that 3rd book is insane!

are they making any more harry potter movies? last one i saw was fantastic beasts and where to find them or w/e the fuk

I've never watched a single Harry Potter movie or read a single letter of any of the books srs. Am I missing out

definitely, particulary the part where sam reveals that suaron is actually gandalfs father and that he is the rightful heir to the iron throne

OP I know you're a fellow disneytard, but how much time do you spend at Universal? The lady and I used to go once a month or so and just chill in Hogsmeade. That place is so fuggin rad.

I've only been once to each Florida and California. But when I went to the one in California it was before Harry Potter was there.


I'm hoping to go back to California in October to do all the Halloween stuff in the Socal parks (Disneyland/Knotts/Universal) I gotta see all Harry Potter stuff.

DO IT *******! We even got the interactive wands lulz. PM when you go and I will give you a trick on bypassing almost the entire HP line. That said, make sure you stand in the full line at least once because even that experience is srsly rad.

read all the books many multiple times. was a big harry potter fan, would just read the series, and then restart when i would finish

the first 2 movies are imo by far the best in the franchise. the first 2 capture the imagery and setting very well. in the first 2 films Hogwarts really feels like an old ancient castle that is slightly spooky where anything could ****in happen. I think the lighting in the first 2 films really brings that atmosphere to it. many scenes with flickering candles as the only lighting. its spooky and mysterious, the castle. in the later movies it completely loses that feel because each change in director changing the scenery.

not sure why but majority of people think that the 3rd film is the best, but its one of my least favourites for the following reasons.


1. it changes, and I mean completely CHANGES the appearance of multiple characters:
- Professor Flitwick goes from being an old ancient looking wizard, the Charms teacher, who was once a dueling champion in his youth (as told in the books) and they change him in to some hipster retard who conducts the school choir. you fkin
kidding me?



- Tom The Innkeeper of the Leaky Cauldron. Although he only has like 10 seconds of screen time in the first movie he is still an established character. he goes from being the old toothless barman (like described in the books) and becomes a
hunchback weazing idiot. why was he turned into a hunchbacked idiot?



- Voldemort. adding voldemort in even though he is not in the 3rd movie, but this still follows along with what i am saying about changing appearance of characters. Voldemort as you see in the first movie on the back of quirells head. he is old, he is
nasty, he is all scarred up. then when he returns in the 4th movie his face is extremely snake like. this is 1 scenario where it pisses me off at how LITERALLY they took the book reference for voldemort. I thought he looked ridiculous. looked much
spookier and nasty and mean in the first movie




2. in the first 2 films the costume design was spot on. all the random citizens you would see were dressed in their wizardry robes, and looked dignified. in the 3rd film its turned in to hipster central with people wearing ridiculous garbage.

3. all of the humour starting from 3 and onwards seems SO FORCED. can't stand when the humour in a movie seems that way. it's like the people making the movie think people watching are too retarded to understand subtle jokes, instead they have to present it at you in a way that says "look this is a joke this is where you laugh HAHAH!"



Another reason why the first 2 films are the best. although the series is suppose to get "darker" as the series goes on and the characters get older, I call bullchit on that. nothing in the remaining films even compares to the dark spooky feeling of the forbidden forest scenes, from the first 2 films. remember the scene where harry stumbled across that human like thing drinking the dead unicorns blood and then flies away?



or the scene in the 2nd movie where mrs. norris gets petrified and everyone see's the blood written on the wall.

It was weird that they changed what was already established....Didn't like that either.

Btw always loved Harry Potter read and seen the film at least 10 times each I think I always prefered it to Lord Of The Ring lore, great universes, characters and fanbase!
