You have to wonder why bullying exists. Why would we do this, and why do you see it in other apes? It is there to establish a social hierarchy. The bullies are the ones at the top. They are most attractive and have priority choice in mates. Men instinctively give each other a hard time, but among friends, it's a tit for tat, balanced kind of ball busting so that they are viewed as equals.

Bullying is a way for one man to assert dominance over another man. In doing so, he establishes his genetic composition as superior and signals to the females that he is the ideal choice in mating. It's all about what you can get away with because if you take it too far and they call the police, you are now being bullied by them lol. It's a stupid little game society has made.

I’ve [23F] been with my BF Timothy [23M] for two years. Things have been going great as we adjust to post-college life. We’re talking about getting married and what we want the future to look like. It’s been such a fun adventure to share with him.

Timothy’s social circle is pretty Soylent driven. They all played video games together in college. They still play together through some local leagues, but they hang out a lot too. Not everyone is friendly with one another, but they all share the same interest, so they all end up hanging out.

Two weeks ago we were at a house party with these guys and one guy (I’ll call him Chad) was being a total ass to a lot of people, but as the night went on, he focused in on Timothy especially. Chad is one of the more Alpha people in the group, and while some people enjoy his company, Timothy and I do not.

Chad ended up taking things too far and a fight started out between him and Timothy. The end result for Timothy was not good, he basically struggled to get back up while Chad insulted him. Timothy has (understandably) been crying about this the past two weeks and I’ve been pretty pissed too.

But lately I’ve been having these intrusive thoughts about Chad. It started when a picture he was tagged in showed up on my FB feed. I just kind of noticed things about him I had never seen before. I’ll find myself at work suddenly thinking about his cock or something. It makes me feel ****ing awful. Like I’m betraying Timothy. I don’t want to find Chad attractive or have these fantasies but they keep happening.

Last night I was with Timothy while he and some of these people played a game of Fortnight. Chad showed up after a while began flexing his arms. The minute he took off his shirt, I was overwhelmed with all of these ****ing terrible thoughts. I ended up just looking at my phone to try and distract myself.

Timothy and I left shortly after Chad arrived (Timothy understandably wanted to leave because he was so intimidated by Chad).

The worst part is I couldn’t help myself when I got home and I ended up masturbating while thinking about Chad without his shirt

I feel so incredibly guilty this morning that I've been crying on and off for a few hours now. I want this to stop, but I have no idea what to do. I try to fight it so hard when these thoughts come into my head. I thought I was doing better, but last night I ended sending nude pictures to Chad and it sickens me to my stomach.

How do I stop these thoughts? How do I cope with my guilt from last night?

Tl;dr: Timothy got beat up by Chad. I’m suddenly fantasizing about this guy, and it’s getting progressively worse. How do I stop this and how do I deal with my guilt?

Think there are lots of things to what you just said. For what its worth, ive seen studies saying a criminal record didnt deter attraction. Now, im absolutely not saying you should be a criminal. For instance, was flirting and working with this sloot one time. Were flirting heavily and it was getting exciting. I dont remember what we were told but they told us not to push a button for this machine. I pretended like i was still going to anyways. She 100% wanted to push that button. Even moreso after being told not to. Suddenly went from flirting to not after i didnt do it. Imo.. If you look at it macroscopically, as you said its about dominance. And does a dominant motherfuker listen to the rules? Listening to someone elses rules = submissive. That killed the vibe.

It creates an attraction. It obviously won't seal the deal and a woman in a stable relationship is unlikely to throw it away, but the attraction is still there. That's the sad thing. You know as a man that when you are most weak, and you will need your female by your side to offer emotional support, she won't be there. She will dry up and stop finding you attractive. I don't know where you grew up, but the bullies at my school weren't the ones on top. They weren't the most attractive or had the best choices in mates. They were usually the outcasts that came from bad homes, and needed the attention wherever they could get it. They also usually ran with trash females that got pregnant at 16 because all the high priority women ran with Athletes, or the fashionable pretty boys. These kids also didn't pick on the Starting Point guard, they picked on kids they knew flew under the radar. The quiet kid that wouldn't tell anyone, or stand up for himself.
