Okay, so my advice is correct. But you make a fair point, I am a nerd with discipline for delayed gratification.

Too old for that chit now and it annoys me. Personally would rather hit a bar.

I need to find a more mature social circle that doesn’t go clubbing anymore but can have fun still. It sucks not having plans on weekends when you’re single. My last ex gf I spent my time with her most weekends and I’m starting to miss the company of a gf

Good for your mom! I'll never run a marathon since I hate running, but I have plenty of life and adventure left in me at 49. Tours only over when you give up or the reaper comes for you. Life is what you make it.

The truth is every era of your life has some positives and some negatives. As far as my 20's, I do miss partying with reckless abandon, having an extremely large circle of friends and dealing with far less responsibility. I don't miss some of the terrible trouble I caused myself and some others, not making a ton of money, working through a lot of personal issues, burning the candle at both ends constantly, etc.

But finding early 30's to be pretty damn good too, taking on significant personal and professional challenges, building wealth and spending more time with family. Some downsides are I've lost a lot of interest in movies/tv/video games, not going out and partying much anymore, smaller social circle, a lot more stress/pressure due to taking on a lot of professional responsibilities. I'm sure I'll feel like there are other advantages and disadvantages when I'm 40, 50 and beyond.

I don't think it makes much sense to try to figure out which year or era of your life was "the best". Most often, there is good with the bad and bad with the good.

Some advice for you guys in your 20’s: focus on your own goals and self progression. That doesn’t mean be selfish, but it does mean to knuckle down and set some goals, both physical and intellectual. See sig.
Agreed. If you spend your twenties bettering yourself financially/mentally/spiritually and physically, your 30s will be easy as pie. Youll still be able to pull girls in their 20s too, as a rich aesthetic 30s mane.

When you have a family, your priorities change big time, but I agree....you still need to find the balance. Instead of hitting the gym 5-6 days a week I go 3 days for 40 mins. I just try to be as efficient as possible while I’m there.

Even partying gets dull and repetitive
These days I party with my kids. Turn on The Weeknd and dance by the pool.
I also find time to ensure I spend quality time with my wife. Take her on trips to the beach for a few nights while the kids are at grandmas house.
Those are my forms of “partying these days”

Agreed. Early to mid 30s are the best times for a lot of men, in part because you're still young enough to have fun while also (hopefully) having the wisdom that comes with experience. Most of the posters are bringing up money, but I'd say what's good about being in your 30s is in a large part mental/emotional. When you're young, you're more prone to be angsty and preoccupied with stupid chit. Some girl might take a couple hours texting you back, and you're up in your head all day because of it. Once you get older, things like that doesn't really faze you. Interestingly enough, that also helps in getting laid more.

That said, nothing lasts forever. From what I've seen, things inevitability start going downhill around 40, although ideally by that point you can focus on other things that can give your life meaning (family, for instance).

I met a 77 year old at the summit of a Vermont High Peak. He had a strong Sean Connery look and accent. Had a good chat and we could see the village near the mountain where he has his cottage. Dude was in great shape and enjoying life. That's how I want to be at his age. Age is 2 digits.

There's no such thing as 'best years' if you do life right. You'll have moments sprinkled here and there that are some of the best, you won't realize them until looking back years later, but overall every year should get a bit better than the last provided you don't ldar. At least that's what I've figured out in my 31 years and what I've observed from older family members/friends.

Started travelling better (international trips, high end hotels, Michelin Star foods, etc) in my 30's
Started working less (smarter not harder) and making more money in my 30's.
Looks have declined 1.25 points at 37 since 27 but part of that is deliberate-live life, don't obsess over macros, drink what I want, eat what I want, and still maintain better shape than 99% of gen-pop my age. If you are in half ass shape in your late 30's you crush your peers.
Good blend of social circle-"young" single people if I ever want to go out, married couples with young kids, older empty nesters...in your 30's you fit in anywhere.
Much much much better off financially. I live reasonably, but very rarely do I ever concern myself with the cost of something.

So far 30's are beating 20's.

Lol I love how the misc just projects all their beliefs on everybody. For some people their 20's are their best years because they had a ****load of fun, made some great memories, and had relatively little responsibility. Most people in their 30's and above have families and settle down. Its a different type of life, but not necessarily worse or better. Lots of Money, good looks, material things does not always equal happiness. If you think that then you are fail to realize basic human needs.
