Bros. Lets talk shoes. I finally wore the fuk out of my Specialized Comp Road shoes & cleats and need a replacement. They didn't have master-race size 14 so they have been snug from the get go. Not bad shoes, nothing special.

Im looking at the Sidi Level Carbon Shoes. Any experience? Want something that is quality. Any other suggestions ~$150

New Ride is here! Ultegra feels clutch!







First ride was around ~25 miles and definitely was odd. Feeling the downgrade but I'm definitely just going to need to break her in.

Already ordered my carbon bar/stem.

I've been reading up on this and alot of stems actually specify that the steerer should be cut below the top of the stem in order for the top cap to fit in the gap and pre-load the bearings.
You can take the stem off and still tighten to the bolts to what ever torque you want. There doesn't have to be a steerer tube in there to torque the bolts down. That cutting the stems shorter is only by a couple mm. Top caps are tapered and their only purpose is to very slightly compress the stem downwards. Everyone's opinion here is to get a new fork or possibly a stem that fits, I would agree.

Thanks. Now I gotta find a size 48 at a discount which is proving more difficult than I thought. Any smaller and they are 1/2 the price.

You guys convinced me or maybe I was just wanting to find an excuse to get a new bike. N+1...

I just agreed to buy a brand new Emonda SL frame for $1.1k shipped, normally $1.5k new. Its brand new, unridden, guy is selling because he got through insurance (i guess his last bike crashed/stolen)?

I'll slap the etap onto this and sell my other frame (disclosing the short steer) for cheap.

I guess I now have to buy SRAM's new direct mount brakes and sell my SRAM Aero Road Brakes...let me know if anyone is in market for those.

SRAM's direct mount brakes (S-900) don't hit bike shops until June

Didn't want to run mis-match Shimano DM brakes with eTAP so splurged and got these.

79g per brake. ~50% the weight of SRAM's june release.

As many of you know, I ride a very old road bike decked out with shimano 600 tri-color groupo.

The bottom bracket (original from 1990) has been on its last leg for a long time. I sprung for the $12 shimano bb off amazon, a couple tools, and changed it myself.

Holy hell! Feels like a completely new bike. Mind=blown. Took it around the block and couldn't believe what I've been missing all this time. Even pedaling over bumps feels better/firmer.

Love love love it.

Gotta ask, how many of you cycle and still hit leg day?

~225 miles this week
Hit squats for the first time in a while but don’t think I can keep up the cycling with it. Should I push through or cut back?

I average about 100-150 miles per week and train legs 4x per week. Depends on your volume/intensity and alsohow much climbing you're doing.

15 to work and 15 back to work is my normal ride. It is a large climb home and almost all downhill to work. I wanted to incorporate heavy squats and deads, but should I treat the cycling as the volume and just work my way up to heavy? Idk how to incorporate with out injuring.

Edit: bought shorts and will let you know how it goes with the whole parts going numb bit. Also watched that video from earlier, how do you tilt the saddle? Kinda only know how to move it forward and back
