If I cheated on my wife and she ran me over I wouldn't want her getting much over 15 years either. Pretty much a life sentence anyway. 15 fukin years.

I'm pretty sure crimes of passion aren't as harshly punished because of the heat of the moment. If she had no priors 15 years sounds about life. A real travesty is in my town, where a women ran her ex off the road killing him and got all but 4 years suspended (liberal judges of piss)
