Apparently two detained? Time to do something to prevent these fuks from getting into schools in the first place. They said that the students went through drills to be prepared for this. Drills do nothing to save lives when kids get trapped in a room with a gunman.

The map is misleading. There was one incident where a guy with PTSD parked his car in a school parking lot at midnight and took his own life. That incident ended up on this map.

1 shooting is too many. Kids shouldn't have to worry about getting shot at school, when I was a kid the worst thing I had to worry about was getting swats from the principal for skipping school and the ass whooping my dad was gonna give me when I got home.

"Nobody knew what to do," a weeping student named Dakota Shrader told local NBC affiliate KPRC. "There was nothing we could do but run."



^^^Its just as absurd that every time this happens, the response from students (and pretty much everyone else involved) is always the same. These school shootings are not isolated incidents, yet every time there is the same "oh sheet, how could this happen to us?!"

Oh I agree. But skewing the statistics like this, where the majority of incidents ended in zero injuries, does not help the cause in the least. It diminishes credibility. Focus on actual school shootings, or better yet, shootings in cities (i.e. DC, Balt) where a minimum of 10-15 people, including kids and teens, get shot every weekend and the point will carry more weight. Stretching the truth to fit your agenda so you can say a million bagillion school shootings happened since May 16th is useless.
