Instantly figured the new reboot was going to be a garbage pile of chit when half way through The Force Awakens and we see Rey being capable of doing all these great things within a few hours of the timeline within the movie. For that reason alone I haven't watched TFW.

Absolutely pathetic with no logic/story behind it. At the basic level it's just really really bad and poor planning and storywriting, forget all the SJW/feminism garbage, it's just a half-asses poorly written plot and absurd character development. Everyone likes to criticize the movies because of SJW and feminism, I don't give too much meaning to it. If you look at the movie without any bias and try to be neutral, it's just a bad movie, simple.

I liked the black stormtrooper, he had a good role. I just don't understand the need to bring all those old characters back and kill them off (sad for Princess Leia, she legit passed away) so all of the 3 main characters Han Solo, Luke, Leia are finished.

I watched Rogue One because it was available on the movies choice on a 8 hr flight and actually enjoyed it, so that's made me want to check out TFW just for the sake of seeing how bad they phug things up but Star Wars hype and meaning of it and how much I looked forward to it is dead. Loved the originals, and actually really enjoyed all the prequels except for the Jar Jar Binks one... The last one where Anakin turns into Vader is my favourite, the last 30 mins of that movie I can watch all day.

The new stuff just looks so out of character and doesn't fit well with the SW universe at all. Just looks so fake and rushed. When you watch Lucas movies, you know you're watching the SW universe. When I watch the Disney SW's its like I'm watching a B movie directed and produced by some art and media student.

I don't know what you guys are rambling on about ITT but aside from the SJW **** I actually enjoyed the movie.

A bit rushed and undeveloped when it comes to a lot of the characters but overall the actor did play Han Solo right. I was sold on the character development.

Didn't care at all for the equal rights droid. She/he/it/fluid/droid had no place there and it got annoying rather than funny tbh. Oh well.

I've watched Star Wars since I was a kid. I come for nostalgia and to see **** from the expanded universe and stuff we haven't seen before. Could give no ****s about all this SJW/political propaganda.

Soylo might not have had that much SJW trash in it, as if any movie could compared to TLJ, but after TLJ a message needed to sent, to Rian Johnson, Kathleen Kennedy and 7 out of 8 female writers hired to pen the next one (**** it, include the one ball-less guy they hired too, because he's likely a SJW ****pile too).

SJWs are a cancer. They do not create anything, they can ONLY infest and destroy something someone else created, and they covet the most cherished things the most. The more we love something, the more they want to take it and ruin it. They've done it to Marvel comics, they did it with several other lesser franchises, they're trying to do it to video games and if you do not stand up and yell, "No!" then you are part of the problem.

I am not defending JediBrah, because he's lost it, but there is a rumor that the original directors (who were fired, pushed out and had 80% of their movie re-shot) took the script and decided to make L3-37 a stupid parody. Again, rumor, and I'm sure there was a lot with their movie that didn't sit well but ultimately the script writer was upset because the movie deviated greatly from their vision and were upset that L3-37 was done in a mocking manner.

So, they bring in Opie Cunningham (a capable director who has never done anything noteworthy, imo) and he re-shoots 80% of the movie. L3-37 was toned back and had her role diminished. It's up to everyone in this thread to decide for themselves if she was mocking SJW culture or not -- but I would again mention Cobra Kai, go watch that, and there is no argument there that with Cobra Kai they absolutely mock SJWsms.

Meanwhile, the notion that the same studio and Kathleen Kennedy, who demands the Force is Femayle and gave us the feminist-ripe Last Jedi, saw a character mocking SJW culture and demanded a new director and reshooting an entire movie might add up to me. I didn't see the movie but I seriously doubt L3-37 was mocking the culture as TheJediApologistBrah seems to think.

the true downfall of the SJW mindset is that when they are proven wrong they only double down and throw worse fits.

When TLJ got backlash Rian Johnson said his movie was perfect and the fans are wrong, JJ Abrams told all the fans lf Star Wars that they were just threatened by strong female leads (depsite the fact princess leia is the most beloved character in the entire franchise), and Kathleen kennedy wore a shirt that said The Force is Female and that she doesnt care about male fans.

The numbers are in. SOLO is the most expensive SW movie ever, even adjusting all others for inflation at over 250 million dollars. It made $110-115million worldwide this weekend LMAO. This is a CRITICAL FAILURE. Forbes was predicting a failure at $150M because going even lower than that would be unprecedented for an IP of this magnitude.

There are FEW times, if any this has been tolerated in Hollywood. It seems if you absolutely need to destroy a franchise and lose 100m, the Kathleen Kennedy Klan is the way to do it.
