It doesn't matter what country I'm in, I would always comply with the police. Meanwhile the media is advocating resisting arrest more and more with examples like this.

There should be legislation in place where the moment you don't just sit there and comply all credibility and support you could be provided is lost.

Why do people think you get to pick and choose what directions to follow that an officer gives you? If you're driving the speed limit and minding your own business and a cop signals for you to pull over, do you get to say, "nah, I wasn't speeding, maybe some other time, just gonna head home."? No, you pull the fuk over or you get some bonus charges for on top of whatever else they were stopping you for. He said at the start of the video, "grab her, we're going to have them dump this." If she would have just given her name and dumped the sht, I'm sure they would have been on their way. You don't get to refuse to obey an officer and just go about your day. If they just let everyone do this, we'd be in some deeper sht than this country is already in.

Ive been in these situations many times with police, almost 100% they let you go, hell one time I was staggering on my birthday and had a brand new 26 and j walked, cop stopped me and I had to give it up, he could have arrested me for being drunk in public, but I know better, he probably drank it later but I didn't go to the drunk tank. I was in the wrong, cooperation helped me out huge.


Ive been pulled over a few times breaking the law, one time was speeding with expired insurance, but my cooperation he let me go if I got picked up and parked the car on the side of the road.


Cops have a tough job, let them do their job and stop thinking you own the planet with your 'feels'

She broke the law. Open alcohol container. It is a cops discretion to cite her, or let her go.

If he chooses to cite her, he needs to be able to identify her. If she cannot be identified..she goes to jail for it as opposed to being given a citation.

If someone commits a crime, even a minor one, if they refuse to identify themselves you can't just say "Whelp, golly...I guess you're free to go with no repercussions then!"

ITT and society people seem to think cops make up laws. Blame your congressman, not the cop.

I dunno how it works in the US. But here in Australia if you are just respectful and apologise they just tip out your alcohol and go on their way. Might seem like a small thing but you're still breaking the law drinking in public so the cops have to do their job. If you get caught don't get mad, it's your own fault.

Meh.

Even if they are in their rights, it's not worth it with all the bystanders around. Entitled losers are everywhere now. I see them all the time at work (EMS). I don't have any power to do much about it other than talk **** to them and piss them off.

If I was the officers here, I would have confiscated their cooler and fcked with them for acting like pieces of **** about it. Other than that, not worth it to arrest anyone or drop hammer fists, even if the woman is a stupid kent.

What ever the cops reasoning for “investigating” her is on them. My only issue with what I saw within both videos is the fact that he used excessive force. Clearly in the video, right before he starting to punch her in the head you can clearly hear him lose his professionalism.

I don't get it. How did that go from "ok what's your last name?" to "you're about to get dropped" in 3 seconds. I didn't see her hit him or do anything. He didn't even tell her she was under arrest,
