Good question. Some people swear by certain enhanced ejectors and springs too. I always just ran whatever comes with the bolt.

So I gave $50 and the P365 and got the Ruger American in .308. Has the magazines and threaded barrel.

I could have sold it for more privately but I just wanted it gone. Now I need a Vortex, bipod, and spray paint so I can be tacticool.

I have my picks but i'll reserve judgement.

Can someone school me on glass? I know I'm going to go Vortex but I'm not sure which one. I shoot at a 400 yard range but would like to be able to shoot out to 600-possibly 1k. My dad got the scopes for my current deer rifles so this is the first time I'm buying one other than a red dot and magnifier.

Low end mag is for field of view. High end is for precision. Make sure it has enough internal adjustment to dial the distance you want to shoot.

Viper PST and Razor lines are good.

Crossfire and diamondback are junk.

I'm very serious, why did Sig let their marketing people put out a grammatically incorrect slogan? I gather that there are only like 1500 employees, yes? You should have an easy time running that question up the pole.

So. this caught me by surprise. of all the guns i shot. this one impressed the most. the trigger is ****ing ridiculous. shortest reset i've ever felt, trigger pull is 3 lbs. comes out of the box with dawsin precision sights. it is pretty much like a Walther Q5 but this chits all over it. people write it off as garbage because its made in turkey, but the company making it manufactures fukin missles and armaments, so they know what they're doing.

Honestly, Even the base TP9 models chit all over the VP9, PPQ, pretty much all others than i can think of other than the P10c. They are that ****ing good. and at that price it is straight retarded. Quality is just as high from what i'm reading.. CHF barrels, strong slide finish, etc. people are reporting good results at 12,000+ rounds.

So yes, I had to drive 6 hours back and forth today just to hunt one down. For the price of ~500. you just can't go wrong. Comes with 4 plates for optics, a feasible holster. green and red high vis fibre optic replacements.

Best kept secret in the gun industry IMHO.

Relent, I went through something similar around 22-23ish. Same story except I don't think my mom was as innocent as she let on. Dad still took all the blame. I was younger but I was out of the house living my own life when I found out what was going down. I didn't talk to either one of them for months at a time for probably two years afterwards. My mom quickly found a replacement and was remarried less than a year after the divorce. I still had a lot of loyalty to my dad and didn't go to the wedding. I didn't want her to put my two little brothers and I in that situation so soon, but it is what it is. They're still happy now and all the bad feelings are gone. My dad hasn't had a serious relationship since as far as I know, but he's doing fine. It will all work out in the end.

Just one word of advice... Be prepared for Christmas. The time is pretty similar and I can tell you I didn't have a lot of feelings towards the whole situation.....for the whole year, until Christmas came around. Probably different for you since you have a family of your own and all, but I went to my GF's family on Christmas morning that year and that was when it actually hit me. Seeing another family be a family, and knowing you won't ever have that again.... rough day.

And that's the story of why I stay up and get ****faced on Christmas Eve every year

I've got an Athlon Argos ordered for it, figure that'll hold me over for a while and if I like it I can upgrade to an Ares when I start shooting longer distances.

Ah gotcha. I'm starting to think about getting rid of the XTR II. The odds of me getting another rifle that it would be useful on are pretty slim.

Thanks for sharing that man. I told them both last night that I think they should consider marriage counseling before calling it quits. It seems worth a shot before just being done after 31 years of marriage...
