So I saw it for the 5th time and it got me thinking. They really should have given Cap the energy shield in this movie. The Wakandan border tribe uses energy shields. I’m sure it would have taken them no time at all to make a circular one. Seems like such a no brainer.

You mean the cloaks they have? Doesn't seem like it's something that he could wield as a weapon though. But doesn't the shield he was given absorb energy to be reflected back like the Black Panther suit does?

Don’t think so. I don’t remember him ever doing the purple explosion move. BP does a few times though.

A bit late to the party, but could someone explain to me how the avengers "won" (as Dr. Strange said there is only one outcome in which they win)?
I mean, the result in the end is the same: half the population of the universe died. Same as if they hadnt fought thanos and just letting him do his job..so is the only thing the won is that the people turned to dust instead of getting murdered?

Well knowing how superhero plots go with one of the major themes being time manipulation I would say somehow they are going to be able to get the gauntlet from Thanos and use it to reverse everything he did. Either go back in time and stop him or use the soul gem to reverse what he did.

I would have liked seeing them give him back his original shield, just to have Thanos smash it at the end, which would have been impactful emotionally but also tied into the silly visions Stark had in the last Avengers.

so the movie is 2hrs 40 min long - not counting all the previews and crap - and he watched it 40 times. that's about ~4.5 days spent watching the same movie over and over. Was the script too complicated for him or hard to follow the first 10 times?
