- People that come to the gym to do exclusively bodyweight exercises and/or stretching for 1 hour. Stay at home, it's cheaper.
- People that have made zero progress and look exactly the same after years.
- Dis mofo that grunts/screams using thetreadmill
- PT's giving their clients terrible advice and make their clients do worthless exercises. Overheard one the other day training a female client doing 1.5lb seated dumbbell OHP's, "this is just as effective as the guys using heavy weights, heavier weights aren't better just different". Bish, wtf!
- PT's that look like they need a PT themselves. If you can't apply your "advice" to yourself in a meaningful way, don't go around spreading your worthless drivel to others.

Nothing wrong with that if there's space there. All you need to do is walk over, tap them on the shoulder, and say "Can I squat please?". Not difficult...

People camping on equipment taking 10-15 minute rest sessions between sets , the entire time fumbling on their phone. By the time I have worked out on 3 different machines they are STILL resting on the same machine ! >:-/

People playing music on their phones with no headphones on. There are two people that do it at my gym, and they tend to work out at the same time. So, there will be Spanish pop music, hardcore rap, and something like T-Swift from the gym music station all playing at once. Loudly. One of the few things that drives me nuts.

'Hey man how you doing. Mind if I jump in there while you rest'. It's amazing how well just looking someone in the eyes and politely asking them works.

Skinny dudes swing curling 40lb DBs because they don't want everyone to think they are weak by using 20s or something they can actually curl for reps

Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;

True that. Most people in there are knobheads. Part of the reason that put me off becoming a PT. Working with idiots, surrounded by idiots with shítty idiot music playing all day. Not the best environment to be in.

Most of these comments by miscers can be avoided by simply having a chat with the person.

Just trying to think of ways to get out of the office 9-5. I'm in a cheap crappy gym so that probably doesn't help but in my experience they're more or less all the same.

Guys who go out of their way to talk to every female in the gym but will completely avoid talking to men. We have a dude here who will talk to a female for like 30 minutes straight and have a different woman working out with him every now and then.
Taking your 10-15 minutes between sets. I understand if you gotta piss badly, but walking off for that long talking to your friends is just wrong.
I use to leave a 45 on each side of the bar without even thinking twice about it.... until one day a little old lady was trying to take the 45's off I had left on the bar at the squat rack and could barley even reach them let alone lift them... So I ran over and took care of it for her.. dropped the bar and loaded her 10's on each side... I don't leave $hit on the bar anymore.. even if I just have to lean the plates up against something.

This day and age, the fat mouth breather will say he has like 3-4 sets left, that will take him 30-40 minutes to do.

Not so much putting the plates on the wrong pegs, but putting the barbells back wherever the fuk they see fit. I'm probably going to use them in pairs and I shouldn't have to carry one around while scanning the rest of the racks for its partner.

Randoms trying to match me on weights.

Dude just **** off, even if you could, and you can’t, I’m not going to go over and high five you and be your bro because you’re still a ****wit.

Just do your own thing and build strength sensibly. Don’t go for a 90lbs PB because I’m likely still warming up and you’re going to snap your **** up.

So...people who try and compete with others in the gym.
