I, too wasted nearly 5 years of my life playing computer games and shutting myself off from society. When I was about 11 I got my first computer and played a game called Gunbound, then maple story, and ragnarok. During the school year I would skip classes regularly but still went outside from time to time.

When summer hit and classes were off I was a total hermit. Im talking about waking up everyday and eating while playing games, small breaks to fap, repeat everyday for a month and a half.

Thankfully I never got too fat and every September when the school year started people would say oh you put on some weight. I remember tasks like going to get a haircut, going out to get groceries and measly daily tasks would give me the biggest anxiety. Lifting has given me confidence and my social skills improve every single day.

So start lifting and get a job in customer service.

Oh and during those years I never had a GF or kissed/held hands. I had a FWB for 3 months a few years ago and went on multiple dates. It'll get better brah.

OP, lots of good responses in here, I hope you realize you can get out of your funk if you take the right steps. It's not a life sentence. Don't get in your own way and don't let lack of results deter you from what you want. Start small and start stacking small wins. It will help you build your confidence and you will only go up from there. Probably the biggest thing, as mentioned earlier, is to get out and get involved in activities that will expose you to other people. Find activities that you can become legitimately interested in and get out there. We're all gonna make it.

Not everyone is going to be a premiership footballer or movie star m8, get over it.

Ricky Gervais did fuk all until he was late 30's, then he suddenly dominate the world of comedy.

well for a start...you're only 25, thats hardly that old

as hippy'ish as it sounds, you really need to work on actually appreciating what you have / looking at things more positively. Sure, if you want a more exciting life, then so be it, do things..join groups, go travel or what ever you want to do. however i get the impression that even if you were doing more, you'd have a negative outlook on it.

you're also not going to attract any kind of girl worth beign with, with your current outlook on life. Don't get me wrong, you can probably get a girlfriend but it'll be one with a fairly large number of red flags, simply due to basic human nature in that we attract...what we are. Be negative, get a negative girl with issues you really don't want to have to deal with.

the problems internal, something external isn't going to fix it.

What did you think you should have been doing? Become Hugh Hefner? Fly NASA space shuttles?

You have this idea in your head that you have "potential" but in actuality, you had none. Nothing was wasted. This is your destiny. Embrace it.

It doesn't matter anyway we all die. Nothing you do is special.

The Kentucky fried ******* (i forget his name) did fuc all except fuc about with chicken recipes and try and sell his secret recipe to restaurants and sleep in his car, and then in his sixties said "fuc it" and started KFC.

Hitler hadn't even joined a political party until he was 30, he fuced around before then painting pictures and fapping all day and being a bum, and didn't join the Nazi party until he was 32 and then it wasn't until he was 50 that he started WW2 and he nearly ended up dominating the world, so i am sure if you try your hardest then one day you will at least dominate a girls angus by the age of 50...or who knows....maybe even the world.

Exactly.

STFU *******. You're already down to 230lbs stop your sadkunt bishing and keep grinding till you hit 180-200 so you can get some pussy and stop being such a miserable little *******.

I honestly can't wait for you to get there and have your first relationship only to realize that won't solve your problems and come back here looking for answers. Maybe then we can have some real adult discussions. Keep grinding till then.

OP, I'm not sure if this was answered, but, what is your profession? What kind of income.. if you don't mind me asking? What I'm getting at is.. all the OP gave me was someone who was 20 y/o with a college degree and a job complaining because he doesn't have girls and a social circle..

It just seems bizarre.
