If that's the case, then it doesn't matter where you live.

They were popular where I grew up in PA. They were famous for having the floors rot out due to water and roof leaking.

I suppose one would have to do serious research about the maker.

Lots of people cheap out and put trailers flat on the ground or on blocks, and don’t use skirting, and that can result to excess moisture promoting rot. You keep em high off the ground and dry they will be last much longer

1. Real estate is about location. I guarantee trailer homes are in the bottom tier locations/neighborhood. Please don't even try to argue this. These are D neighborhoods, there are no trailers in A or B, MAYBE C.
2. Appreciation is rarely more than inflation. Mainly because a trailer has a much shorter lifespan than a stick built and because D neighborhoods do not appreciate well.
3. By living in a bad location you have to live by people who cannot afford the A or B neighborhoods. Not even going to get into this. I would much rather live by a nice DINK couple with 2 kids than Tawanada on Govt handouts and 6 welfare kids. Of course this is not always the case but more often than not.
4. I could honestly go on and on but its not worth my time.

BUT THE REAL REASON PEOPLE ARE HATING...

its not because they don't hate on trailer homes, they are hating on you because you talk them up like you are such a wise smart dude who is living the dream

fine cool maybe that is your dream, but atleast acknowledge 90% of people don't want to live in a dump and maybe they will say okay trailer boy, you do you.

i have a feeling you are doing this just to troll and you do realize that your trailer situation is a couple year stint to get a property that cash flows

I’m not glorifying trailers particularly. I’m glorifying the idea of buying cheap real estate, the trailer may not appreciate but the land will without question, inflation has already balanced out the cost of the trailer itself. I pretty much got a free trailer with how much more my lot is worth to when I bought it.

That being said, trailer homes are perfect if you have land paid off and the bylaws don’t hinder moving one on it. Buying aready to move dwelling(in this case a trailer) is by far one of the best ways to have a comfortable living quarters on a small budget. Fuk tiny home’s poverty budget to space ratio.

Cheap trailers every where lmao

There's nothing wrong with living in a trailer

It's the fact that you constantly talk about how rich you are while living in a trailer that your parents bought

Financially, living in a trailer is a great move, second only to living in your mothers basement.

They're fine if you live in an area where there are no tornadoes or hurricanes, but that precludes like 95% of the country.

Yeah who cares if your neighbors smoke meth and they're BBQ'ing the raccoon that was going through their garbage last night?

And really what are the REAL odds of a tornado throwing your house a few blocks anyways?

I don't want to live in a trailer park, but prefab homes are actually pretty awesome. Buy a piece of land somewhere, get a nice 3 bed/2 bath prefab for about $30k, and live comfortably on the cheap.
READ THIS: You know how your Visa gift cards usually end up with $0.63 left on them, so then you carry them around for months before you eventually just throw them away? Well, Tarck's here to tell you that most charities have a PayPal link on their website where you can quickly donate that balance (even if you don't have a PayPal account). It only takes a moment and it beats literally throwing money away. Thanks for your time; we now return to your regularly scheduled cuckold and FA threads.

I’ll drop this...

In calabasas, just west of San Fernando valley, there are manufactured homes on a hillside that cost like 100,000 to buy and then like 3,500 a month in Hoa fees. 2 bedroom 2 bathroom mostly with a a small yard. If you drive up there you will see some of the nicest little homes with some of the nicest luxury/expensive cars. It’s the “poor” part of calabassas.

Older retirees, divorced people, and young couples are the bulk of the people and almost all are making good money but not enough to buy in a good neighborhood in Los Angeles. So they live in a manufactured home in a great neighborhood instead of regular home in a crappy neighborhood or a small condo. The bad neighborhood or condo won’t work for raising a family.

I grew up in trailers until I was in high school. There is a big difference between living in a trailer with land versus living in a trailer park. We were always in some mountainous fairly remote area with maybe 30 other families in trailers and houses mixed together.

I've come a long way in terms of our house now versus what I grew up in but I honestly would not care if the day ever comes where I have to live in a trailer as long as I've got land and don't have meth smoking neighbors around.
