I'd go with a combination of:

Pale, lacking any appreciable muscle mass, visible gut, and above all this "clearly doesn't take care of himself."

Dad bod isn't just about aesthetics- it resembles a defeated male to me. The aesthetic part is just the physical representation of that.

realistically, dad bod refers to a body which is the product of a lifestyle of long hours at work, coupled with bad eating habits and no exercise because as soon as the guy gets off work, its on to the second job of paying attention to the wife and kids. every second of the mans life is work of some kind and no energy left to exercise.
