Shutting this down.

The extreme negativity, mysogany, hate, and pure idiocy a lot of you "men" post here daily truly makes me cringe Irl.

The reality here is: OP is a ******* who likes DB's. Did it in an unconventional venue, and was a success. Good for him! Don't be such a negative ******* for the sake of beig a dick...

The insane amount of comments degrading barbell bench also has to stop. I'll begin mass negging for those comments when I see them. So knock it off.

OP has more gym experience than the vast majority of the misc, with the average age being around 22, and knows his DB's and BB's better than anyone here. Who the fuk are you to tear him down? Get a life. Truly.

OP. I wish you the best of luck. It sounds like you've found a winner.

Strength does matter to me for sure, although injury prevention even more. Could the hammer strength machine sub for the barbell press since it stabilizes the weight left to right for you?
No. Learn how do bench properly and reduce your chance of injury by a large margain

I think Jordan Peters sums this up better than me.

They aren't independent though, you can stimulate your chest with fly's and crossovers but you'll never get strong with them

I never claimed they were independent. I'm asking that we stick to the topic

This. If you're rotating exercises very often it is hard to track meaningful progress anywhere and progress is indicative of...progress. Yet:

You deleted two threads and were negged repeatedly last night or whenever that was for you. STOP trying to make threads about you all the time especially if you have very experienced lifters in this thread trying to provide useful guidance. If you have questions, ask them. If you have a position, post it - like you did, but when you receive useful feedback as Luke provided stop lashing out calling people '*******s', k?

But have you ever tried to press with a barbell in each hand?

That's the bestest!

wish I could still BB bench. ever since I tore my TFCC three years ago I just can't support weight on my left side, even when focusing completely on keeping my wrist neutral. I can't even do push ups anymore- after 25 reps or so I notice my body beginning to lean to the right and my balance is off. DB press seems to be okay as long as I keep the weight low, between 50 and 75 lbs. Sucks balls.

Fairly certain I was benching near perfect form (srs). Looking back increasing my bench from 305 - 345 in 30 days (gained 30lbs in these 30 days bloatmax) literally maxing and hitting a PR twice a week is a horrible idea. I was training in the 2-3 rep range frequently. I even felt some pain in the shoulder that got injured the entire month but ignored it because it felt too good to be getting so strong so fast I didn't want to stop, it was addicting.

@25:55

I rest my case. You guys do you, phuck benching I'm not doing it.
