I took it to touchless dent repair who put it under the light and there is over 3 dents in the door, only the main one is visible without their light, there is a dent under the scratches.
The small dents estimation was 1,831 to repair not including removing scratches and having to repaint them.

OP how much was the estimate you got for? If it’s no where near 900 this is sounding sketchy as fuk. You don’t have to file a claim thru your insurance but with as sketchy as everything sounds you may want to so they can handle the repairs and deal with the other insurance company on the back end for you. You’ll still have to submit the diminished value claim to them but at least your car will be repaired correctly and you won’t be stuck with some kind of dispute between the shop and the other insurance.
Unless you feel confident in whatever they told you about handling the repairs that’s the route I’d go.

As long as my car is in the Porsche shop, they deal with things with the insurance, the worst that SHOULD be possible to happen is the insurance says they don't want to pay a certain price or something but then I would imagine that's when I would get either a lawyer or my insurance involved because porsche authorized is not going to allow to use any non oem or cheap repair parts, but I don't see why they would try to do that when they are already aware where I am going, that they are at fault for paying and etc.
I see it becoming a Shid show, if I get my insurance involved, their insurance involved, Porsche trying to deal with both possibly, and also trying to do diminished value claim.

I currently do not need a lawyer because they are paying out for the damages, a lawyer would only be needed if they are against diminished value claim, to my understanding. One lawyer told me he charges 94 an hour, this is going to be like a 1-2 week repair, would be pointless to be paying a lawyer now if I do not need one, and if the lawyer fees end up being anywhere near a couple thousand, its likely going to be what they'd offer me in diminished value after the case. For example, I got estimate of 13k diminished value, but they offer me 6.5k. I could get a lawyer and try to fight for the 13k, but then lawyer and court fees(?) ends up costing 4k, I would have likely been better off just asking to be met at 7-7.5k and not had to deal with all the hassles I will have to with trying to fight them.

You don't have leverage nor skill to do the same.

(and if they do an advance where they pay for the repairs & then charge it to the delivery company's insurance, you'll get all the deductible back.)... Telling your insurance doesn't mean you pay anything. They'll basically be there to act as your lawyers.

I've already been quoted for 13k diminished value, but I should not want that because my car will be worth less in years right?

If my insurance is not going to be involved in any payouts and im not claiming anything with them, I don't see why my insurance would handle anything in this situation, because they aren't the ones reporting the damage, paying it, setting up anything or etc? I do not see it being as simple as "my insurance advancing it and billing the delivery company" because the delivery company could have a policy of not paying over a certain amount per labor which is one reason they told me that I should not pay in advance myself and try to be reimbursed because they are not going to pay over a price that they are supposed to.

As for your wifes situation, I would shrug it off also because I would look at it as I shouldn't have left it outside during a wind storm or other things that can make me accept responsibility for it, the fact that someone else hit me while I was parked & even ran/unreported it makes it a totally different situation. I'm not hurting for any money, as I was originally going to pay for the damages all out of pocket to avoid insurance report, but since it is being reported I expect to be payed for the damage it does to my value IF I ever decided to get rid of it. The appraised diminished value is 13k, that's a big shrug to take for someone else damaging my vehicle.

Also, the reason people are ganging up on you is because you're 26, spent 7 years in the military, got med boarded, yet are subtle bragging about an almost $200k car, whilst also crying about loosing $13k. The whole thing seems a bit implausible.
But regardless, get a lawyer, lambaste them on social media, get your money's worth, just make sure you don't spend $26k trying to get $13k from them.

Not aware how you're getting that I'm wound up/need to relax, when I've already handled everything, updated original post and just waiting to hear from insurance on diminished value to know where to go from there. Doesn't matter if I was a multi millionaire, its still not acceptable in my eyes to just look at it as oh well *shoulder shrugs* no matter if it was only 1k in diminished value. Yes "its a Machine it can be replaced", we aren't talking about replacing it though, only about someone else's responsibility to cover what they did. I'd like to see how you'd do in a situation being robbed of 13k & if you'll go "oh well its just money, more can be earned" lmao.
I'm not worried about people ganging up on me, because again that goes to their insecurity about their own living to take the time out to contribute nothing to the thread but hate. What is implausible about my situation? No one accused me of frauding & just because I can afford a high valued car, means that I should be okay with losing 13k from some one else's fault? Or are you for some reason taking into account all those random things about my life that you mentioned out of the blue, to think that means I should not be able to afford it?
I imagine people with your mindset would be the same type of person who would hit my vehicle and not leave your insurance information because "He can afford it".
Its not necessary to start taking it to social media or a lawyer at this point because everything is already been put into place, there is only the waiting game now.
Thanks for the advice though, I definitely would have spent 26k on trying to get 13k from them if you did not mention that.

Don't worry OP, 3 years from now I'll pick up your car for $60k, and I'll enjoy it much more than you did knowing that I didn't have to spend $185k + $13k on a door.

Guy comes on here to ask for some direction because some dickhead hit his car and not just a quick wind mirror hit either - a full on hit across the body and all the Misc retarded heroes swamp the thread with their salt and other cope mechanism because the car in question is a Porche and is 6 figures brand new.
I dont fancy Porche cars but I understand people who do. But LMAO @ fkin gutter trash Miscers trying to play off 6 figure car like "Nah bro its a POS". Go fuk yourselves you trash talking, slack jawed goofs.

too much to read, so ill just toss my two cents from my decade of insurance/law experience
you are likely filing for your damages under collision coverage on your personal auto policy
collision coverage is a contractual coverage, meaning you exchange a premium for a policy contract
within that contract it will likely say DV claims cant be made through your own policy, but could be made through the at-fault's liability carrier (in this case there is none i assume)
it really comes down to policy language and sometimes goes state-to-state
read policy for your answer
edit: i have an audi RS7 so i know how you feel, big ticket items hurt the most when this stuff happens to it

Don't worry OP, 3 years from now I'll pick up your car for $60k, and I'll enjoy it much more than you did knowing that I didn't have to spend $185k + $13k on a door.

But really, I wouldn't buy a Panamera, BRB no push to start, BRB gauge in the middle of the dash. I'd rather get an RS7, but I won't be spending that much money, pretty soon I'll be picking up an A7 though.

Again you’re posting like other people mentioning something like 3 years from now as if I care about that at all, don’t worry 3 years from now I’ll still be able to spend another 185k on a car if I do choose. Stop trying to act like you’re not posting with some sort of discontent, salt or hate, your real nature is showing with every reply.
Good luck picking up a 2018 turbo for 60k in 3 years, 2015s are still 75k or more range & those are the outdated ugly models with half the tech in the current ones & likely the bare minimum features and etc added into it.

you are likely filing for your damages under collision coverage on your personal auto policy
collision coverage is a contractual coverage, meaning you exchange a premium for a policy contract
within that contract it will likely say DV claims cant be made through your own policy, but could be made through the at-fault's liability carrier (in this case there is none i assume)
it really comes down to policy language and sometimes goes state-to-state
read policy for your answer
edit: i have an audi RS7 so i know how you feel, big ticket items hurt the most when this stuff happens to it

I will be doing diminished value with their insurance, I’ve already mentioned t to the representative and was told once repairs are done that I would need to have an offer presented after repairs. So I went to a Porsche authorized dealer for an appraisal for if it had no damage/report on history and one for if it did.
I’m not so much worried or upset about what happened I just wanted to be compensated for diminished value, as I originally was going to just pay out of pocket to fix the car and not report it since I wasn’t sure if the insurance company was gonna accept responsibility for the delivery company hitting me.

You retire and want something get it, I don’t see why you should limit yourself or happiness because of a worry about door ding or fender bender that’s why insurance exists, just comes down to the annoyance of dealing with them.

No push start and talking about the gauge that is optional that only comes with sports chrono package as your selling points is comical, at this point I assume you’re trolling. I would have gotten an R8 but when custom ordering their options and safety/comfort features were well below what my vehicle offers.

i field a diminished value claim for my wifes maxima... got $1,000.00 for bringing it up. i was told it would dimimish the value by $3k... insurance wouldn’t budge without going to court. took the $1k ... in your case it might be worth it for $13k.... but they definitely owe you something. id imagine an accident would kill the value of a car like that
but people are right... your car is going to depreciate extremely fast.... probably 100k over the next 5 years...

I expect insurance to want to meet me like 40% from original diminished value amount but it may also be a different situation because delivery company hit & ran my car, but for now I just wanted to see my options because I had no idea if I could even go for diminished value versus them.
It’s a daily driven car with a child, it’s going to have more mileage than many other ones in the coming years and eventually damage from my baby, that will also lower its worth. But these are things I expect and don’t care about because it’s from my own usage versus someone else a screw up

I'm contributing to your mental health, but first, you must admit that you have a problem. It's rather sad when a material object consumes you so.
